We stopped here for lunch when we were exploring the Dauphin & Gov't St area of Mobile. We saw the reviews on TripAdvisor & are so glad we did. I had the Cuban Panini, spouse had the Red Beans & Rice. Food was outstanding, great ambiance and friendly staff. A real "neighborhood" place, with many diners who were obviously regulars.... More

Working in downtown Mobile we eat lunch out often and 219 is one of our favorites The food is always good and the service quick and friendly. My personal favorite is the muffuletta with french onion soup or the chowder. The eggplant wrap is also very good. If you are looking for a quick wrap, soup or salad at a... More

Have had both the Muffuletta and the Tuscan (breaded and backed eggplant) sandwiches and both are great. Maybe the best part is the bread they use. Decent lunch prices and good service. Nice treat at the end is a cookie when you pay.

I was at jury duty and stopped by here for a quick lunch. I tried the curry chicken salad and it was very good. The place was clean and the service quick.

Trying to eat as much seafood as possible during family visit esp oysters and shrimp. Another great place for my goal. Went there for pre-theatre. Close enough to walk there. Sat near the kitchen and saw lots of good looking food going out into the dining room.

Everything on their menu is simple and delicious from what I've seen. It's the perfect lunch spot if you work downtown or even worth the drive if you don't. Compared to worn out places like Buck's Pizza, Spot of Tea and even Wintzells, this is a fairly priced, full portioned and beautifully made menu. Rustic and pretty fresh for this... More

Diverse menu and a great environment in historic building in downtown. Great thai salad with peanut sauce on the menu alongside traditional sandwiches. The place is small and seating tight, so get there early. When they get full service can be slow, but the food is always great and the prices reasonable.

It was great to enjoy a Sunday brunch with family. The food was amazing. The dressed up champagne girl was a bit odd, but added a unique touch.

I hate to write reviews on a place if I've only tried one thing. Maybe I just picked the wrong thing! I will say the service was great! The server was very friendly, asked me about where I had been that day and what I saw, gave me directions. The food? Not so great. I got a burger wrap that... More
