Found this restaurant via TA and what an Amazing find! Made reservations for dinner prior to arriving in the area, glad I did, because the place began to get crowded shortly after arrived. The food is a bit pricey, but well worth it!! The service was wonderful and the food was really delicious!! Would certainly dine here again and recommend... More

A true gourmet find in historic Mobile, this intimate place was a highlight or our trip through the South. The decor is quiet and serene. The menu is innovative, and our service was superb. Chakli Diggs, the owner, has been at the helm for 8 years and his pride in his establishment is obvious during our after dinner conversation. My... More

No Ja is a tiny, awesome, intimate little place. Lots of interesting atmosphere, really captures the downtown Mobile feeling, food is unbelievably good, service is above par.... Very few tables, so better make a reservation.

In town on business and stuck downtown with no car, so I was looking for good dinning option in the area. No Ja looked promising. Had the salad of the day which was spinach with pistachio's which was fresh and flavorful. Had the pork belly which was nicely cooked and tender. Pair that with the homemade gnocchi which was fried.... More

Each of the plates we selected was masterfully cooked (doughnuts and ice cream for dessert to die for). Great ambience and extremely attentive staff.

Super service - home grown foods - nice wine list and the martini's are great. Very nice ambiance (There is also a courtyard you can eat in). You can dress up or go business casual and you fit right in. On street parking and there is a lot across the street. Perfect place to enjoy a date, your spouse or... More

Limited menu, fine dining with prices to match (our entrees were each $34) but they have a "small plates" short list. The scallops, flown in fresh (?) from Nova Scotia were good--but you only get two for $15. "Steve" is an excellent waiter, and experiments in creating cocktails. Try his bourbon "pecan pie", if you like bourbon.

Unfortunately, gulf seafood restaurants in Mobile don't seem to exist. In fact, maybe not in Alabama. This is an excellent dinner where the food is locally sourced but not the seafood. Service was excellent and the owner was on site.
