Good corner friendship locale

The name says it all. It's in the Oakleigh Garden District. You'll have all sorts in there: hipsters, yuppies, regular joe's, etc. Heck, Robert Plant (yep, the Robert Plant from Led Zepplin) was even photo'd there recently. Parking is tight in the neighborhood, so walking is the best.

Went there for a quick bite in the afternoon. The ambiance is good, although I wasn't impressed with service. I didn't have high expectations since I was there for a quick bite before getting ready for a Christmas party, otherwise I would probably say the bartender was on the edge of rudeness. I had a beer and a chicken sandwich,... More

the pub is a wonderful place to have a hamburger & drink. the atmosphere is friendly and a definite local flavor not repeated anywhere else in Mobile. The neighbors from the Oakleigh Historic District fill the place as do business people during the week for lunch and to relax after work.

Callaghan's is a rough and ready joint! Located in one of Mobiles most wonderfully old neighborhoods this restaurant offers little in the way of amenities, in a good way. Open doors and windows when weather permits you will always find the locals on the porch enjoying a great burger and cold brew, if you want some fun night life drop... More

You won't find this local gem driving down a main street. You have to scope out the location in advance and know where you are going as it is tucked away in a residential area a couple of blocks off Government Street. Set up like a traditional Irish pub, the tables are a little close together and therefore the place... More

Cheeseburgers are the best! Enjoyed every single bite. Will be back again. Great service and friendly staff.

Had Saturday lunch here. Very good fish po boy Ice tea was good. A definite neighborhood place that was very friendly to a couple of yanks passing through. Would go back if we are in the area. Our waitperson was friendly and had good suggestions. The place could stand a bit of a clean up.

Food was good but amazingly slow service. Customer service is non-existent in today's world. I don't understand management not staffing for needs.

We go almost every week. The music is varied but always of high quality. The clientele skews older so things rarely get rowdy. The menu is very limited, but what they have is good. They don't have a huge wine selection or that many draft beers for that matter but you'll probably find something you like. Service is always good.... More
