Have been there a few times. Service was not outstanding, but my husband liked the prime rib. Went there on July 11, 2014 and this was the straw that broke the camel's back. My husband got upset. We will not be going back. We were seated and the hostess brought our drinks. A waiter showed up a few minutes later... More

This story is way to long to write. We arrived at 4:30 and went ot the bar. It was the bartender's 2nd day. She did not know how to make many of the drinks we ordered. We sat down at our table and waited for a very long time. I asked for water twice. One of the people in our... More

Was recommended by locals that I could get a great steak here, and they were right. Service was friendly and food excellent, I had the 1/2 Ribeye. Was cooked properly and was what a steak should be. Felt bad though, as it was very slow...it was a Wednesday and they said Friday and Saturdays were better with a live jazz... More

Our party of 10 was the only table in the restaurant, and after over an hour of waiting, we left. The hostess, and I use that term as a title only, after listening to our complaints for the past half hour, had the audacity to chase us out into the parking lot and demand payment for food we never received.... Reserved for 60 people. Ordered breakfast at 8:30, by 11:00 many of us weren't served. My toast arrived 20 minutes before my over easy eggs that were hard. My hash browns were gray. The waitresses were walking in and calling out orders because no one wrote down table numbers or remembered their customers. Syrup got dribbled onto a vacant chair... More

This restaurant used to be known for it's excellent food and atmosphere. The woman and her kids that are running the place have run off all the good cooks, waitresses , and atmosphere as well as Mr Word's tradition of excellent food and service. You'd get better service and value at a truck stop.

AVOID THIS PLACE!! We went here on our way to the USS Alabama. WORST restaurant experience in last 4+ years! Obviously set up to take advantage of tourists visiting the battleship... 10 minutes for server to arrive at table to take order. 25 minutes to get orders. Grilled Cheese - Burnt Crab Cakes - Mush Mashed Potatoes - Cold Soup... More

We met our group at 10:30 a.m. and spent about 30 or 40 minutes greeting each other. A room had been reserved for about 35 people but when 38 showed up we were short about 8 or 10 places. Breakfast or lunch was available by the time they began taking orders around 11 a.m. It was 1:30 p.m. before we... More

The entire experience with this establishment was awful. I will not waste much time with this review, as there were NO REDEEMING qualities for this place. The wait staff could not have cared less that we were there; so SERVICE was nonexistent. The food was terrible, to the point that there was no sense even attempting to finish eating it.... More

I was just looking at some of the reviews from last year. Sorry to say that things haven't changed ... I think the staff are still hired from Zombies r Us. No emotion from the server and they didn't seem to care that we were at the restaurant. The food is overpriced (my two sons had buttered noodles at $9... More
