Fantastic food!

Should you be "stuck inside of Mobile", with or without the Memphis Blues again, you should not miss this restaurant. We went on a crowded Friday night but had made reservations. I had the Ponchartrain Flounder, blackened with jambalaya, shrimp and sauce. It was spectacular. My wife had chicken... read more

Operated by Virginia College's culinary school, this farm to table restaurant is turning out first class Gulf/New American fare in a renovated house with a relaxed but professional atmosphere. The restaurant is under the direction of a chef who made her reputation in WDC and on the food channel who has relocated to Mobile to the locals' culinary benefit. This... More

Ok, we have to admit, we only decided to dine at this restaurant because it was the #1 restaurant in Mobile. We just finished touring the USS Alabama and were ready to enjoy some local cuisine (we were out-of-town folk). I'm so glad we did! I will have to warn you...the route we took to get there made us second... More

Had a group of 7 ladies for a birthday dinner. Food as always was superb, service excellent. You can't beat this place for food, price, atmosphere.

All the decent restaurants in Dauphne street were closed on a Monday. We wanted somewhere good to eat after traveling on the road and we found it. Everything was delicious and well priced. The restaurant is in a location in a neighborhood that you just won't come across so put it in your gps. The price is a little expensive... More

This is the first time we have been since the chef change. The Chowder was great. I did not like the Fried Artichoke Hearts. Friends loved the Blackened Salmon, Blackened Shrimp and Grits, and Alabama Fried Oysters. I loved the Crawfish Stuffed Mirliton. Ended the evening with Cherry Bread Pudding and it was very Yummy. The only complaint I had,... More

My wife and I did not find Mobile to be a great eating town, but by far we had our best meal here. Well-prepared, innovative food, well presented and well served.

Nice restaurant in a neighborhood recommended by our Innkeeper. Friendly service. Students from a local Culinary Arts School work in kitchen alongside staff for practical experience. Menu had nice choices and lacked the typical fried fish that we had been eating so it made for a nice change. My husband enjoyed his Caesar Salad, pork tenderloin, but was disappointed in... More

Good food; great service. All orders were small plates but for the price charged should have been larger portions. Innovative cooking and good wine and beer selections made the meal nice. Some of our dishes were over salted/spiced. Similar problems were noted by other reviewers on other sites. This place could be exemplary with some cateful front and back of... More
