My family was road tripping from Gulf Shores to Back to Houston when we wanted to stop in Mobile for Sunday brunch. This place had great reviews here on Trip Advisor so I called ahead and made a reservation (we were an hour away at that point). Anyway, the restaurant is adorable; white linen tablecloths, and yet, casual enough to... More

My husband and I went here for dinner to celebrate our first month of marriage, and it was excellent. We decided to go the appetizer route. We started with shrimp and goat cheese grits, broccoli, and crab cakes with pineapple cilantro salsa. There was plenty of food for both of us, but the shrimp and grits was so good that... More

We were in Mobile visiting friends from home and after a day of sight seeing went to Kitchen in George. Nestled in the middle of a historic district it's the perfect place to enjoy a great meal with friends or as a romantic dinner for two. On top of all of this, the staff is very celiac conscious and accommodating.... More

The Kitchen on George makes the best Bloody Mary ever! The food is always fresh and innovative! The menu features both breakfast and lunch fare. If you are really hungry, order the burger! I saw only one guy finish it. French toast is prepared like Bananas Foster. Great way to spent a Sunday with friends or someone special. Reservations are... More

this is my second visit to Kitchen on George and it was good as the first Ate here on business months ago, so wife was with me on a trip to Fairhope and took her for dinner and she really like the dinner. The crab soup had just the right touch of sweetness with the added corn. I had the... More

Mobile is a little short on good brunch spots, but this is a star. Good and somewhat unusual choices mixed in with standards. Clearly the leading contender on Sunday morning and very good service.

Had a wonderful dinner here on our way to Jazz Fest in NOLA. The senior culinary students running the kitchen did a fabulous job in both preparing and presentation. Matt, our server, was both personable and professional. My stuffed Mirliton & Fried Oysters were absolutely delicious. My husband's Salmon Salad and Red Fish Pontchatrain were equally good. Did I mention... More

While looking for a Sunday lunch spot in Mobile, we consulted TripAdvisor. Knowing fully well that the reviews are usually on point we decided to check this place out, and boy are we glad we did! This place was so good I swear I would take a flight just to come back and have the shrimp and grits (seriously, you... More
