My husband had heard good things about Fantail and wanted to stop...so on the way back to Indiana we decided to give it a try. I knew it was seafood, but didn't realize it was buffet-only until we were seated. I am not fond of any buffet, but especially a seafood buffet. The food was not very appealing. There were... More

The fried catfish and the fried oysters were really good and I usually don't eat either. Sampled everything but liked the two mentioned above. Hushpuppies were better than usual. It is a buffet and it is fried mostly. They had peel and eat shrimp on ice too. The service was outstanding. It's a fixed price. Alcohol available.

I ordered a glass of wine (chardonay) to go with my meal. I swear it was watered down literally. It actually tasted as if it was a glass full of water. I let the waitress know my concerns. She returned with another glass that did at least taste like it had some alcohol in it. To her credit, she only... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Fantail! Tried a little of everything and it was all delicious. The service was good, also. We will not hesitate to eat there again when we're back in the area.

When the Fantail first opened, the food was top of the line. Presentation, quality, quantity was all there. The restaurant was a favorite with the large military population in the area, and while most nights were busy, you could expect a wait on weekends. Unfortunately, over the years, whether a change in suppliers, cooks, servers, management, etc., things aren't the... More

My wife and I ate there last night and two weeks prior. Two weeks ago I watched a server drop a towel on the floor, pick it up then proceed to wipe the table with it anyway! I had been eating here for years so I figured it was a fluke. Well...Last night my wife and I came back. Our... More

They don't advertise except for the 1 big sign that cannot be seen from the Interstate. If you want great fried, broiled seafood, Bar-B-Q, hushpuppies, Veggies, Red beans & rice, Jambalaya, west Indies salad, 2 kinds of Cole slaw, boiled shrimp, - Oh you get the picture! Dinner only I think. -Want a workout Gym and a plain salad? Go... More

Fried greasy food. Price for adult is $15.99 plus drink. For dessert, vanilla wafers and chocolate slime (pudding) from a can. Mmmmm! If I live through the night after eating there, I will NEVER go back.

$14.95 for this mess plus your drink. The absolute worst fried catfish I ever attempted to eat. The only thing that was good was the French fries. Drive somewhere else, this place is bad.

I love this restaurant. We have gone here for over twenty years, and still enjoy it immensely The food is delicious and you can eat seafood in the proportions that you like. I love the oysters and fried fish the best, and my husband loves the shrimp. But here we can both be happy and get our favorites. Their hush... More
