Interesting experience of eating food with the satay sauce

The thing l like is the ability for a group to share one pot of satay sauce with yr choice food in the stick. There are 3 refrigerators of food selection and each stick is only RM0.90. The cons is that the satay sauce is not changed since the first customers using it!!! The satay is reused n... read more

It was a unique way to eat the satay by boiling it in peanut sauce. The satay taste is just so so, for it's just a variation of fish balls etc. The price was average but the queue was too much. we need to wait around 30 minutes to get a seat.

It really was only average, didn't live up to my expectations, but it wasn't bad. If you think RM0.90 per stick is cheap then you might be wrong given the size and portion of the food is small. A fishball for 90 cents? Two pork skins for 90 cents? A small prawn for 90 cents? Was it really worth it?... More

During my Family trip to Melaka we always heard that JLN ONG KIM WEE is a famous street for Satay Celup. We had not try before so we drove there after our Afternoon TEA in TBC. Not bad but hate most is TOO CROWDED. Maybe this is the reason it was famous. Waited about 15 minute and to me it... More

OK! it's a must try in Melaka. The celup has strong flavor made of Sate/peanut/dried fish and smells yummy. A very wide variety of food in refrig will make you feel excited. You can also find pork in the refrig because it's from China. Almost every customer is Asian. As a Taiwanese, calories of the sauce is too to try... More

Heard a lot about Melaka's famous satay celup, so just had to try it. Plenty of variety of fresh ingredients such as meat balls, prawns, fish balls, kangkung, tau kee etc to choose from. The satay taste is quite mild and the only thing that enhanced the taste was the prawns. The home made drinks were nice especially the Liang... More

We like coming here cos the 2 shops have good food & sauces & reasonably clean. It helps that the numerous customers ensure good turnover that promotes fresher food selection.

Was on a family road trip to Malacca and first stop for dinner was Satay Celup at Ban Lee Hiang. As we were early, seats were plenty and parking was`t too difficult to find. As i was traveling with my wheelchair bound brother, the stuff quickly gave us a table nearer to the walk way and helped me carry the... More
