Chicken rice that is worth the wait

The rice ball is surprisingly tasty, even without any sauce added. Half chicken is pretty a nice portion size for 2 people. We got to queue for more than 15minutes to get a table but the order came within 5 minutes since we sat down. Will definitely be back when I'm there!

I went back to this place to give chicken rice ball another try. But, it was the same. Disappointed. The rice ball was tasteless and the chicken was too salty. Not forgetting to mention, the long queue!

Long queue, bad service, grumpy staff, stuffy place, expensive, worst presentation of food, lack of menu/choices, messy, and the list of complains can go on and on.. I went there Monday afternoon just for the sake to tick-off my curiosity. Was directed to a non-existent seat by the side of the table where the cook put his utensils and empty... More

While the food is just average, the comfort level while dining in this restaurant is non-existent.. stuffy, hot & packed. The wait time is long and expect to be served by grumpy staff. I see no point in its continued existence. You have been warned. P/S: Really deceiving to see quite a few people submitting good reviews about this poorly... More

Just like all the other people that have written reviews, I agree, I never looked it up on Tripadvissor, we saw long lines, figured it would be outstanding but, it was less than satisfactory and slightly over priced. It is not worth the wait, especially in the hot sun! Basically boiled chicken chopped, drenched in mixture of lights soy sauce... More

We had been waiting for an hour before the seat was available but it's worth every second of waiting when you tasted the chicken and the rice ball. This is the best hainanese chicken rice I've eaten

Upon arrival to Melaka, people recommend this restaurant to me. So, it is not hurt to try. The restaurant is old and not as clean as you expected. But for Chinatown, I can overlooked those issues. So, here is my review of the food. The Chicken Rice Ball consisted of boiled chicken in salted water. The chicken will have salty... More

Not sure if I am the only one feeling the whole idea of the chicken rice ball outlets are overrated. As with any other curious visitors, we were queuing up for this meal as we didn't get the chance on previous occasion. Once we managed to be seated. There is no choice, take it or leave it. Each got miserable... More

Overrated in my opinion. The chicken is very average, the rice balls are soggy. Only thing I enjoyed was the chili sauce which was heavenly. If not for the chili sauce, I would have hated myself for waiting in the long queue.

We were impressed with the long queue in front of the shop on Sunday morning which left us wonder about the taste of the food. We didn't have enough time to spend waiting for food so we just walked pass. Surprisingly few peoples were there on Monday morning so we just tried the famous chicken rice ball. The chicken was...
