Chicken rice that is worth the wait

The rice ball is surprisingly tasty, even without any sauce added. Half chicken is pretty a nice portion size for 2 people. We got to queue for more than 15minutes to get a table but the order came within 5 minutes since we sat down. Will definitely be back when I'm there!

Not sure if I am the only one feeling the whole idea of the chicken rice ball outlets are overrated. As with any other curious visitors, we were queuing up for this meal as we didn't get the chance on previous occasion. Once we managed to be seated. There is no choice, take it or leave it. Each got miserable... More

Overrated in my opinion. The chicken is very average, the rice balls are soggy. Only thing I enjoyed was the chili sauce which was heavenly. If not for the chili sauce, I would have hated myself for waiting in the long queue.

We were impressed with the long queue in front of the shop on Sunday morning which left us wonder about the taste of the food. We didn't have enough time to spend waiting for food so we just walked pass. Surprisingly few peoples were there on Monday morning so we just tried the famous chicken rice ball. The chicken was... There are many shops within Jonker street and all over town selling same thing but this shop ranks above rest. The chilli sauce is the kicker, even if you are partial to chilli, it's a must as it's perfect accompaniment to bland braised chicken meat. The rice balls are soft, the surprise is you will not get dark soya sauce... More

This is one of the worst chicken rice I have tasted. Chicken was bland and rice was tasteless. Not worth the money. You can get much better chicken rice in most coffee shops.

12.5.2014 --there was a line (38 people deep) snacking around the side of the building @ 11.30am for lunch. Being a party of 5 adults+1 child, we had to come up with a strategy: 2 adults holding umbrellas waited in the queue. The rest strolled down Jonker St. to past the time. All told, the wait was 30 mins. (in... More

Texture of the chicken is good but that's about all. Taste is bland. Rice balls were very soft and flavourless. Their texture was not pleasurable at all and did not complement the chicken. Drinks were watery. Overall, a disappointing meal. Value is extremely poor - a plate of chicken for 7 people, 5 plates of rice balls (5 balls per... More
