OK if you really want to try but not my cup of tea. Rice ball too wet. Chicken typically tasteless in South East Asia, better to be eaten with chilli and soy sauce

Long queue in the hot sun, just to wait for our turn to enter the restaurant, yet everyone knows it is worth the wait. The rice is shaped the size of ping pong ball. Ordered by number of balls one needs. Chicken is juicy and tasty, the best I've tasted in Melaka. Though the place is tight and small, it... More

We travelled in Feb 2014. This place is packed with people and the queues are long especially baking in the midday sun! I personally think it is worth to visit as this is one of the famous dish in Melaka. Just be prepared and take an umbrella like the local! The chicken is so yummy and falls off the bone,... More

It's located just before jonker street...so always a long queue They only serve half or whole.chicken...you don't have a choice...it's like a set meal Is the food good....it's average to say the least despite the long queue... This is not masterchef quality but worth trying if you hungry.. Why is it so famous?...go figure

I went on a rainy day and it was around 10.30am I believe. There was no queue. At 11.30am when I walked past, there was a small queue. Food wise, rice was too soft/mushy for me. Chicken a little bit dry for my liking. I didn't like the chilli sauce at all. Really, what's the hype? RM23 is not cheap... More

Chicken is lean and yummy. Good texture. Chicken rice ball nothing to shout about. Some might probably not like the rice ball as it is a little soft and soggy-ish. Chilli is yummy. Service is horrible. Q is horrible. Long q to get in. You cannot add more chicken after your first order. They literally will shout at you. If... More

The part I like: * Authentic - unassuming place with little fuss * Tastes good - the rice balls and the chicken tasted well The part you might not find so good: * The queue - it could take a while to get to your food on weekends or public holidays * The system - you don't get to order... More

Came here for a quick lunch before catching my bus. After coming in, took very long to be served five small and cold balls of rice, and some mediocre chicken. Texture of the chicken was decent but not marinaded well. Has the general feeling of a tourist trap, since there weren't any locals around. Would not recommend.

Chicken rice balls are every where in Melaka, but I believe this restaurant is one of the best in Melaka. There always a long queue outside the restaurant, and finish up fast every day at round 3pm or 4pm. The chicken meat is very tender and juicy, the rice is shaped into cute little balls which would be fun to... More
