Better than Jonker

A little bit out of town, this is a place where locals go to. They only have steamed chicken, and no roasted variety. The chicken itself is pretty well cooked, but overall there's nothing special about it. It's definitely better than the dry and oversalted servings at farmosa. Go early as there's... read more

Been here 2 years ago, the chicken rice was nice. Came back today and found the food quality is dropped, although the service is faster. RM37 for one full chicken, 50 rice balls and 7 drinks. The price is very reasonable but I will try other chicken rice shop in future.

The quality of food there is excellent in the past, but, it is average now. Sometimes chicken may be dry and tough. Rice is good. Believe that they are offering chicken rice ball with the most attractive price in whole Melaka. It is very subjective whether their food is nice or not. Half of my friends i brought there like... Where the locals eat- Not a touristy place. Food was good, service was fast- very good value. Lunch for 4 adults with 40 rice balls, 1/2 chicken & 4 drinks came to RM 21.60!!

Don't understand what is so good about the chiken rice there. The chicken is tender but very dry. The rice ball is also a little too small (quail egg size) beside being dry and cold.

We spotted another branch resto out of Jonker Street. I recommend all food except the fish ball. If you stay long enough in China, you don't trust that kind of food! Not nutritious, not 100%natural.

We usually go for the famous ones in Jonker Street. But during our last visit, which was on a very busy school holiday weekend, queues on Jonker Street started at 10 am. So we decided to drive out a little to try out this eatery. This little 'coffee shop' style restaurant is about 15 mins drive from the city centre.... More

After seeing some good reviews, drove all the way here just to find it has closed?! During peak dinner hours?!
