This time had breakfast here midweek and could just walk in and not wait. Lunch time queue is very long and standing in hot sun not advisable. Chicken with chicken rice a must. Don't be put off by the crowd. Worth the wait.

The restaurant's wait persons are very efficient! They work so well together. They provide good service for their customers. The food are extremely nice, I like the Assam Fish (but I personally think that it is quite expensive for a small portion) . Their drinks (herbal) are also nice too. Overall, the food here has won over my heart! You... More

This is the place to try with faster moving queues and service than Chung Wah. The chicken balls are less lumpier/soggy and can feel the rice grains, tastier than Chung Wah. Chicken is quite similar to Ipoh style, dependent on the soya-based gravy but tasty nevertheless. Better environment too, with shaded area for queues. If coming to Jonker, I'd make... More

This is a very unique way of eating chicken rice..in little rice balls. This is one of the 2 famous shops in Melaka and the nice thing is that you queue in the shade and it moves quickly. It opens really early so I suggest you go for breakfast and avoid lunch or dinner if you want to skip the... More

The chicken and rice are not as good as it is rated. For us, it is average and we think the restaurant is commercialized instead of offering very authentic chicken rice ball.

Really enjoyed the quick service....We ordered our meal during our 5 minute wait for the table and the meal was served in a couple of minutes. The chicken was delicious and the rice balls made the meal extra special. Would definitely recommend it for taste, service and location (right on Jonker Street).

we went for lunch around 12:30pm, and already there was a long Queue. there was no soup on that day, though I wish we could have a try. there is a notice stating they will serve loose chicken rice with some rice balls aside, 'due to insufficient experienced staff'. for 2 pax, we got 2 plates of loose chicken rice... Did ate many varieties in Malacca, so it is a must try to eat Malacca chicken rice if you are here. In conclusion, most outlets selling chicken rice are about the same, so unless you are a food writer or critique, to me most stalls here are very good!
