Original Chicken Rice Ball in Melaka

This is the original chicken rice ball restaurant before the rest came on the market. The line seems a little longer now but the chicken and Assam fish taste just as good as before. Don't order the veg as its only stir fried cabbage unless you do like cabbage. The prices however has gone up... read more

They have a few shops that served Chicken Rice Balls but this one is highly recommended. There's another shop that served even better but they have never ending queues. P/S: They only served stir fried cabbage for side dish veg....and that's all.

Malacca is full of eating places for Hainanese chicken rice. As the name implies, Hainanese chicken rice is a dish originated from the Hainan province in southern China, and we can easily find it from hawker stalls to high class restaurants nowadays. It is a tasty flavored rice served with soft and juicy chicken meat, eat with two different dipping... More

The queue of this shop is not as long as Chung Wah Chicken Rice Ball. Though I personally prefer Chung Wah but I decided to give this Chicken Rice Ball a try. Food was okay. Not bad. Get to order other food like vegetables unlike Chung Wah who serves Chicken only. This shop has also been recommended on a Taiwanese... More

Chung Wah Chicken Rice Ball @ Melaka Malaccan's favourite chicken rice ball. Anyway, the crowd is as 'good' as the famous shops Kedai Kopi Chung Hwa and Hoe Kee Chicken Rice located at JonkerStreet. You have to queue and wait as the seat is limited. The rice is shaped into a lump of ball. Given the structure of the balls. But... More

Only tourists seen. Staff recommended set meals to save time to explain and save their time to wait for you to go through the menu. Taste similar to Chung Wah but half of the rice to be loose rice.

Between the rest of the chicken rice balls eateries in Melaka, this is still the better one. The queue moves fast so no long waiting time to get in or get a table. The food also comes out pretty fast compared to the other restaurant nearby. The seating is spaced out and least claustrophobic or hot. The food here is... More

No need to line up in the blistering heat for this. The whole attraction to this dish is the fact that the rice comes in tightly packed balls. This was how it was done back in the day. However, you will be hugely disappointed, as there is a notice on the entrance which says that making rice balls is a... More

We were there around noon, there were no queuing at that time. We ordered chicken and rice ball set for four people and 1 small portion of Assam Pedas Fish Head. The Chicken was delicious but not the Rice Balls ( it was average). The most I liked was the Assam Pedas Fish Head which were so soft, tasty and... More
