No need to line up in the blistering heat for this. The whole attraction to this dish is the fact that the rice comes in tightly packed balls. This was how it was done back in the day. However, you will be hugely disappointed, as there is a notice on the entrance which says that making rice balls is a... More

We were there around noon, there were no queuing at that time. We ordered chicken and rice ball set for four people and 1 small portion of Assam Pedas Fish Head. The Chicken was delicious but not the Rice Balls ( it was average). The most I liked was the Assam Pedas Fish Head which were so soft, tasty and... More

We ordered a big portion for 4 people of Chicken and the Rice Ball. The Rice Balls were about average, nothing special, but the chicken was so yummy, One of the best taste in Malay! Also, You must try their Assam Fish Head, it was so soft, delicious and the fish did not taste fishy at all. You must order... More

Went here to avoid the horrendous queues at over rated Chung wah, would say the quality is similar, chicken stringy, chicken rice balls squishy, I would say just average run of the mill chicken rice

This time had breakfast here midweek and could just walk in and not wait. Lunch time queue is very long and standing in hot sun not advisable. Chicken with chicken rice a must. Don't be put off by the crowd. Worth the wait.

The restaurant's wait persons are very efficient! They work so well together. They provide good service for their customers. The food are extremely nice, I like the Assam Fish (but I personally think that it is quite expensive for a small portion) . Their drinks (herbal) are also nice too. Overall, the food here has won over my heart! You... More

This is the place to try with faster moving queues and service than Chung Wah. The chicken balls are less lumpier/soggy and can feel the rice grains, tastier than Chung Wah. Chicken is quite similar to Ipoh style, dependent on the soya-based gravy but tasty nevertheless. Better environment too, with shaded area for queues. If coming to Jonker, I'd make... More

This is a very unique way of eating chicken rice..in little rice balls. This is one of the 2 famous shops in Melaka and the nice thing is that you queue in the shade and it moves quickly. It opens really early so I suggest you go for breakfast and avoid lunch or dinner if you want to skip the... More
