Good food, too loud

Worth a visit if you are in Malacca. The food is good, but can be a little pricey. We ordered sambas prawns, sambls kangkung, telur dadar, Chicken pongteh, amongst others. They charge for the rice per head. The chicken is a little too sweet for my liking though I understand it might be the anyone's... read more

Come here for dinner and we oder Ayam Pong Teh Chicken cooked with mushroom and potato in peranakan style. Like the sweet taste and this is my favourite dish during this visit. Sambal Sotong Squid cooked with chilli. For me not really spicy. My second favourite dish Big Prawn Actually not really big just that medium size prawn. We request... More

Restaurant seems to be very popular with tourists as i could see Tourist Buses parked outside. It was very packed with customers, we were served with a plate of crispy rice crackers as soon as we were seated. I noticed that the walls of this restaurant were beautifully designed with simple half window curtain and decorated with photo frames of... More

If you are looking for reasonably priced and delicious classic Peranakan food at Malacca, do check out Ole Sayang! On a recent trip, we tried the Ikan Bilis Petai, sambal lady fingers and duck soup and were impressed! The restaurant also serve good prawn crackers as starters, crispy and not oily at all. If you are looking for ayam buah... More

My client invited me for lunch today (26th March 2015) in Oleh Sayang. I am accustomed to Peranakan food as I was raised by a Nyonya. The food has no quality and should not be termed as "nyonya food". The chendol is tasteless and their gula melaka is so pale in colour. The chicken rendang's aroma is too strong for... More

We had a few dishes. Chicken Ponteh which was good and big portion. Sambal sotong (squid) was ok, but the best i think is the cendol. Definitely one of the better cendol around. Also, the restaurant is big and there's many staff to ready to serve compared to other restaurant which was always crowded.

Ayam Pongteh is good but the Asam fish soup is like drinking Soya sauce meaning salty like hell. Fried egg with meat also salty. Complaint on the foods but no entertained by them. Service is poor. Strongly NOT recommended!

The plus point about this restaurant is that it is conveniently located near two hotels namely Eco Tree Hotel & Pergola Hotel. The ambiance was nice, not very crowded and not noisy. The food there wasn't that great or anything to shout about. It is a good place to go if you are looking for convenience. Other than that, not... More

I am on a mission to find the best chendol. My first try is Ole Sayang. It's about 2:20 pm now. The place is bustling. Obviously popular place. Staff were very busy. So I just found myself a table. I only made one order of Ice Chendol. I appreciate the fact that they give you the option to include or... More
