This family run restaurant is a must to go when in Malacca and especially if you love oyster and dark sauce noodle. A heavenly mix oyster noodle is my favourite dish. Greatly recommended to reserve seats days before to avoid disappointment

We got here late and almost all food was sold out. And at the entrance the cooking pots were being cleaned. We were told to go elsewhere, but then a young Chinese boy stepped forward and showed us the remains of the food left . He hardly spoke any English but my friend, being Chinese, took up the conversation and... More

My sister in law went to this restaurant twice before but did not get to try as it was full! So this time we book a table a month before and also pre ordered a roast piglet. It's a very traditional, small restaurant near to Jonker street. It served very traditional Teo Chew restaurant and the owners are very friendly!... More

Had our lunch meal - 7 pax. Old uncle introduced his many signature dishes which was a must -eat & at the end couldn't finished & had to stop the dessert. He was angry, since we ordered, we must take it. Luckily his grandson understood & stopped serving the dessert. Their serving was quite large. Old uncle keeps coming over... More

Rude & Arrogant Cook at Teo Soon Long Chan Restaurant Malacca The cook here is really rude and arrogant. We visited this place in Sep 2014, the cook loudly boasted that the restaurant was full and we have to wait three days to eat there. He was extremely rude and arrogant about it and had the no-care attitude. I feel... More

Situated in a narrow street in Jonker area, you may miss this place as just another Chinese eatery. The restaurant is quite cramped and the food generally OK. Signature dishes are their oyster noodles and suckling pig.

Unattractive from the outside, but food is fantastic and authentic. Value for money. Is a small restaurant, hence must definitely call for reservation 2/3 days in advance. Must go early if u go late, some of the popular dishes will be out of order because of "limited edition"

Food is always subjective, but this restaurant is a family favourite and although I do think they are not great at every single dish, the majority seems to always be highly satisfying. The black oyster noodles and the dessert are the 'must orders' during our trips. I do not mind eating there all the time.

Reservation is a must since the restaurant is very small. We pre-order the suckling pig and I personally think only that is nice. That suckling pig alone cost RM230 which is fine since it's nice. The rest of the food are just so-so and not worth the price. If you want a proper meal where you can enjoy and chat... More

We were here again on 7 Aug 2014. This Teochew restaurant is situated at 55, Jalan Hang Kasturi. It's a family business runs by family members.... More
