Found this by accident - great dinner!

We found this place by accident when we walked around the city. It was very crowded with locals so we figured the food must be good. And it was! We had the stingray and mackerel (by recommendation) which was kind of spicy for me but it tasted very good and being there was a great experience. :)

worth tasting this food at this place. U can have various choice of fish and is served in the hot clay pot. The rice comes together with salted egg and vegetable.. Just sufficient for a simple dinner. The environment is on the open space with mixed crowd of Chinese, malays and Indians and foreigners too

Was "pumped" up with all the reviews on this place. Keeps coming up first in all the #assampedas lookup. Quite laid back, not sure if the owners are really happy to see customers....just got that feeling. Food was simple, which is something i like. Good value for money. Beef was great. On the other hand, fish was horrible. Was continuously... More

Without prejudice: Setup for the restaurant is very minimal. Located at a corner lot of a terrace house. Location is within walking distance from Jonker Street. If you are from Hotel Casa Del Rio, turn left and just walk. Even though I am not fancy of Jonker Street itself, I pleased with the location. Lets talk about the food. As... More

I can't tell you if this is a good example asam pedas or not as this was the first and only time we had tried it, but we enjoyed it. Ordering is easy, even for foreigners, the menu is displayed on the restaurant frontage and is easily read from the pavement seating, and the person who served us did her... More

Exact location Jln Laksamana 2, Taman Kota Laksamana. Belongs to Hajjah Mona. Actually a corner lot house. You can order in a set which includes asam pedas (choose your fish), bean sprout & rice. If you are an "asam pedas addict", this may disappoint you bcoz the asam is not that "powerful". For someone who prefers mild asam, this will... More

Had a short holiday trip to Melaka of a few days, so I went there to try it After reading/hearing all the hype "best adam pedas in Melaka" about this place,. Ordered asam pedas tenggiri with some side-dishes. In my opinion, the adam pedas was not the best I've ever had (maybe because I'm a Johorean. I still prefer the... More

Asam pedas is a must food to enjoy when you visited Malacca. You can easily found Malay Restaurants selling this food around the state. But if you prefer, late night foods and outdoor seating restaurant, Asam Pedas Claypot at Kota Laksamana is definitely the best choice. They have different types of asam pedas but ill prefer Asam Pedas Tenggiri and... More
