They make one of the best roti in town IMO. I'm not a big fan of fish and curry, so have never tried their Adam pedas fish head. But I'm a regular here for their roti and nasi goreng (fried rice).

Very busy place in the evenings, so do expect to wait. Had 2 servings of Asam Pedas (2 different types of fish). The gravy was quite tasty and had all the flavours. Fish was fresh and portion was quite ok for the price.

The dilemma is: two asam pedas restaurants on the same street. Both shops face each other. The other one (Asam Pedas Pokok Besar) is well known among locals, but this one has the bigger signboards. And more lights. And wifi. And it showed up on Google. Which does not always mean better quality, as we discovered. I had the asam... More

Honestly, there is a much better place for Asam Pedas than this place. And the other restaurant is just right across the street. We came here because of reviews but we were disappointed when we tasted the soup which was more salty than anything else. The only good thing about it was that the fish was fresh. So on impulse... Wow, prior to this trip, I've always been skeptical of Asam, always thought it was similar to Tom Yam, accept Tom Yam is much more flavourful. Now it seems to me that it's cause I've never had a proper serving of good Asam Pedas! Piping hot, spicy and savoury with very very fresh tasting fish! Mm MM! I'm salivating as... More

LIKED: The "tetel and daging asam pedas" is their best signature dish here..i don't really like their fish asam pedal as it doesn't taste as good as the former..it's a good dish for spicy food lover DISLIKED: It open at 5.00pm till 3.00am..so, only dinner i must say.. No parking lot..just park yours at the free-and-easy roadside parking..

I love melaka assam pedas. This was a new place we were trying out. Not as sour or spicy as we'll like though.

There are 2 kinds of asam pedas lovers. Can't explain why but MUAR and Melaka Asam pedas is completely different. To me as a asam pedas lover, of course i love the Muar taste compared to Melaka taste.Cook it more asam, more pedas, or the diffrent combinations of secret ingredients, i still prefer the Muar style of cooking. So when... More

there is 2 restaurants in kota laksamana which is equally good... Both are on the same street...One is next to the famous roti nan... Another is nearer jonker street. Both are served in claypot. I like the ikan pari/rayfish best. Spicy hot, although not the extremely hot type. The fried chicken and satay in the shop nearer jonkerstreet are also... More

Its totally not asam pedas to my taste. I had in the past asam pedas which is totally different. Why can"t they serve asam pedas as in the good old days, where our grand mother used to prepare and the the aroma is really delicious where theirs a saying quote" orang lalu dibelakang rumah tidak sedar'" unquote.
