Excellent Perankan food & cookies to bring home

We were recommended here by our hotel and it seems like a popular place, filling up really quickly with both tourists and locals during lunch time. Tried the babi pongteh (yums, meat so soft!) and a few other Peranakan dishes and were left very satisfied. The prices were pretty decent too. As a... read more

I always miss out on eating at this restaurant because of the long queues forming outside the restaurant since you can't make reservations. Thanks to my sis (she left earlier to queue), we managed to get seats very quickly!! Strongly recommend the sambal petal udang, wing beans, beef rendang and chendol!!!! They also make their own cookies :D

Nonya food here is overated. Perhaps some years ago this place was tasty, but these days it is often crowded and the food is below par. I find that it is not worth the wait and price you pay. There are better nonya restaurants around, You just need to get out of jonker street! ha ha...

Went to this restaurant around 8 plus; waited for about 20 minutes before finally someone acknowledge our presence. Ordered 4 dishes - Ayam buah Keluak, Sambal Petai with sotong, pickled Vege and Otah. I was surprised that the Ayam buah Keluak came without any buah Keluak (most likely need to pay to have the buah Keluak added and I did... More

I was in Malacca from 7 May to 11 May 2015, and dined at Nancy's Kitchen. Generally, the food quality, except for a few dishes, is acceptable. It is not the best peranakan food in Malacca. There are a few better ones, eg Indah Sayang, Baba House and Kochik. The prices at Nancy's Kitchen are higher than all other Peranakan... More

Was there during my recent trip with the family and really enjoyed myself! Arrived at 6.15 and waited about 15minutes for a table. Crowd started coming about 6.45 and queue gets really long! Food is good and tasty.. And located conveniently at jonker street!

The recommendation paid off . The restaurant is in a terrace shophouse on a side street just off from Jonker Street. There were only a few tables & the setting is nice with photos of of ladies dressed in their nonya outfit. Service was prompt & efficient. The poh piah & the peranakan chicken curry was really good & so... More

Great variety of nonya food and the staff were very helpful in recommending. If you like gravy this is the place to be. Order as much as you can eat as it's worth the wait outside Wish the restaurant was bigger as lines into the restaurant can be long.

I finally had my meal @ Nancy's Kitchen after going there on a Tuesday when they are closed. The restaurant looked unassuming, but there was an air and aroma of good food to be have. I looked at the varied menu consisting of Nyonya/Perinakan(Chinese-Malay fusion) food.So tantalizing the menu, but settled with two dishes. The poh piah, a fresh spring... More

More misses than hits. Hits were the pai tee and cendol Misses is everything else. Food was too salty. Curry wasn't flavourful and the spices bland. Kacang botol was old, so it wasn't crunchy. Very disappointing meal indeed.
