On the basis of our well-known brand of guidebook raving about this place as the best restaurant in Melaka we tried it out. It's OK. It probably IS the best in Melaka but I think that says more about the quality of food in Melaka than anything else. Although this family run place does do peranakan cuisine pretty well our... More

We were after some Nonya food and had Nancy's recommended to us. Luckily we got there late, because that meant we didn't have to queue at the door to get in. We had a local pork and tofu dish with beautiful spices, and an okra dish that was delicious. Lovely to watch the popiah being made at the front door.

Had lunch here. The nyonya cuisine is very good. We ordered seconds for the cendol. Tip: Order small portion of the dishes so you can try more dishes.

We met a friend while walking along Jonker Street. She had just eaten at Nancy's and she was singing praises of the place. She was surprised at how low the price was. After we ate there, we found that it was true, it was really cheap. However we found the food to be average.

This is a very popular local restaurant which was recommended to me by several Malacca friends. We went after 2pm and lucky for us we didn't have to queue at all to get a table for 4 at Nancy's Kitchen. The food was really delicious and delivered authentic nyonya flavours. We ordered five dishes and were thrilled with each of... More

Went to try this place which people say is famous. Place was old and smells. Toilet was horrendous - dirty. Had to walk past the kitchen to reach the toilet. The kitchen was in a mess with everything lying around. Onions were found lying next to the toilet door. My goodness - if I had walked to the toilet before... More

The first night we went it was closed. Boo. We returned the next night and were both blown away. Seriously some of the best tastes we have ever had. e were literally walking down the street afterwards saying 'wow'. Dishes are well priced (5-15RM or so) and so mighty tasty. Try the brinjal nyonya.

It looks like many people had unreasonably high expectations for Nancy's. We ended up here by chance while wandering the streets. There was a wait outside, yes. But the food was good and reasonably prompt. Reasonably priced, as well. But people: you really must set realistic expectations for food and service in Malaysia. This restaurant is excellent for Melaka. It... More

Restaurant offering Malacca Nyonya cuisine from various meat to vegetable dishes, all of which are tasty and delicious. Some of these dishes are only available in Malacca. You however have to watch out for the spicy/chilly dishes, they may upset your stomach.(ask for them to be less spicy and you should be fine). Start with their great appetizers local spring roll( not fried )... More
