Hungry?

If you are in Mentone, Al, everyone says to stop by the Wildflower. It is a good place to eat but don't be in a hurry. They cook everything when you order so it may take a minute or more. Be patient, slow down, enjoy the live music and talk to the other tables of people. Everybody is friendly!

Ate Brunch at the Wildflower and love this place. Very unique house with art on the wall, a guitarist serenading the guests, and very good food. Had the Brunch sampler with quiche, a crepe, and tomato pie. The tomato pie is so good, would love to have the recipe. If you are close to Mentone, stop in and enjoy.

We have a second home in Mentone. We've eaten at the Wildflower Cafe for years at different locations at different times. Last night went there for dinner, no reservations, waited 20 minutes for "terrace seating". Tablecloth was dirty with a butter glob and crumbs. Faced rotten siding with propane tank as our view. Stray cat sitting serving table. Got our... More

This is a very artsy café.. I had the Wildflower Brunch Sampler. Loved the Tomato Pie and the Spinach Quiche.. We got there around 11:30am on a Saturday and I was disappointed that they were out of the Hummingbird Cake... But the food was great and Great entertainment...

We love to get up to Mentone on regular basis and we recently visited the Wildflower Cafe. You have got to try the tomato pie! It is to die for. Wonderful atmosphere and almost always a crowd. Best to go by at an unusual hour.

We love to eat here. The atmosphere fits in perfectly with this quaint mountain town. Yes, you may have to wait a bit, but there is a sign at the front door making you aware of this fact (which is not always the case!). Try the Sweet Potato Biscuits and Tomato Pie! Their Specials are always worth trying as well.... More

This restaurant was recommended by The Winston House. Both my wife and I thought the ambiance and the food were great. We would come back here again!

This was a lovely cafe visit, was probably a 20 minute wait for lunch seating, but the grilled cheese was amazing!

Were in town for a girls weekend, went to lunch at the Wildflower around before 1 pm, waited about 20 minutes for a table. we were seated at a 4 top table (there were 5 of us). The waitress quickly realized this and brought an additional small side table and it was perfect. Ordered the tomato pie for appetizer because... More

We have been traveling to Mentone for 10 years. We first died with the Wildflower when it was a little 4 table restaurant. It has grown and become our favorite drive out of town for the day. The burgers are organic and the best. the hummingbird cake and sweet potato hush puppies are delicious. They have live music on the... More
