An Eclectic Surprise Up On The Mountain

This is an eclectic, bohemian-feeling place that we make a point of visiting whenever we're on the mountain. Most recently, we really enjoyed the prime rib. But they have a surprisingly wide variety on the menu, including some options that fit my wife's gluten-free, non-dairy needs. I recommend... read more

Ok place. Very overpriced for what it is!!! They try to be fancy and it just isn't working out for them!!! The food is just tasteless, again trying to hard and it's not working. The old bus seats are not helping either. They're very uncomfortable and the whole time your seated you have to keep yourself from sliding out of... More

The Wildflower Cafe is an adorable little place in the small town of Mentone, AL. The atmosphere is precious and as my husband said shows that somebody put a lot of TLC into it bWe had the chicken salad sandwich on sourdough with kettle chips. It was delicious!! Our server was Lauren and she was very attentive and took great... More

On July 11, 2015 some friends and I took a drive from Huntsville, AL to visit this little gem that I'd never heard of. They'd been there before, but I hadn't even heard of Mentone, AL.. Much less of The Wildflower Café. Boy, am I glad I went along! Everything was magical. Not kidding you! EVEN THE WAIT TIME WAS... More

Good sized portions help justify the hefty prices. Sweet potato biscuits are to die for. Dry county so no beer or wine.

Oh. My. Word. I'm so glad we decided to ride over to eat here. We had a party of 10 and got here a few minutes before they opened. Small place with friendly staff and wonderful food! Try the Tomato Pie Wrap!!

Restaurant was clearly understaffed with empty dirty tables everywhere and still a half hour wait for a table of 2. Tomato pie had NO crust and neither did the quiche.. Seriously ? Saw someone taking professional photos of both items with a crust. Felt like being treated as second class when you see a beautiful plate being photographed and you... More

My kids and I ate at this cafe while passing through the area. They have wireless service which was nice, so I was able to catch up on some work. The quiches are excellent. Wait staff was very friendly and service quick. They have a gift shop with some cute, local goods. Would definitely return to this unique spot again.

My husband and I had lunch here. I had the Brunch sampler and loved it. Quiche, tomato pie, fresh fruit and strawberry crepe. Just the right amount for me. My husband had the pepperoni pizza and was not as impressed. I really wanted to try the sweet potato pudding, but I will have to wait til next time. Cool building... More

We stopped there on our trip back from Atlanta for a quick lunch. The place was pretty busy and while we waited we were entertained by an old gentleman with his guitar, getting everyone to join in with the singing. This is a quaint little place with excellent service and good food. The people there were wonderful and it's a... More
