Great food!

We visited on the last day of our Memorial Day getaway at Desoto State Park. I had heard a lot about this place so we visited. We were one of the first customers of the day when we arrived since we got there just after they opened for the day. It got busy very quickly - which goes to show... read more

I took 5 friends there who were visiting me from Missouri...they LOVED it! From the minute we walked in and were met by the strolling musicians (our waitress had a fabulous voice!) to the quaint dining room and excellent food. I called ahead to get a table for 6 as I know they can get busy...oh and the tomato pie... More

I've been to the Wildflower Cafe numerous times and each and every time I go, it is absolutely delicious. Its a very unique place and offers a variety of selections from heavy to the lighter side. Dessert is a must, even if you are on a diet. Its worth the drive.

It's not often that I sing at a restaurant but I joined the guitarist in City of New Orleans and was well received. I took his picture. I should have taken Sydney's picture too. She was our server but also sang. She's a cover girl for sure. We've had 3 things there that are just killer. The Tomato Pie is... More

We stopped in after a 4 hour hike in nearby Desoto Falls State Park. We were hot and starving and the Wildflower Cafe proved to be the oasis we sought. The friendly staff was pleasant and attentive and the atmosphere was peaceful and eclectic. We ordered the tomato pie wrap and the tomato pie burger -- ridiculously delicious! The place... More

We went on A Sunday afternoon about 2:00. We had a short wait only 5 minutes or so and we were seated. We had tomato pies, the brunch and hamburgers. None of us were disappointed! The wildflower sauce on the hamburger was a nice surprise...my only complaint was there were no choices for a side item only store bought potato... More

Love Mentone, al and vistited there a few times in the past 5 years. Always remembered the Wildflower having delicious fresh food and went back last weekend to have one of their burgers. The burger was very tasty as usual but I was used to the meat being much larger. The bun was your typical 3 3/4 inch diameter hamburger... More

Quaint old historic building and friendly staff made this a welcome from the start. We were apologetically told there would be a 20 minute wait, which we found humorous as a 20 minute wait for a restaurant is normal if not generous in our experience. I had the Tomato pie as an appetizer and was Wowed! It is a MUST!... More

Atmosphere is great. Food was good. Must try the tomato pie. I'm not a huge tomato fan, but this was really good. There is a small area that features locally made gifts.

Love this place....very quaint and quirky. Our food was delicious, and a good value. The night we were there the staff seemed to be have some organizational issues, and I think it was the owner who yelled
