Looked forward to eating at this place after all the great reviews. Arrived on a Saturday afternoon around 2:00 Pm and waited 45 minutes for table. Once at table spend another 15 minutes waiting for service. Sweet potatoes biscuits were great but my wife order soup of the say Curry Chicken that arrived cold and tasted like water. Waited another... More

This was such a wonderful stop on our day trip to Little River Falls. Such a unique little place- don't change! We had the tomato pie for an appetizer and it was wonderful! Also had the grilled chicken wrap and BLT-also great choices! The girl singing and playing guitar was great. The little country store was neat and I purchased... More

Reservations are recommended. We arrived around 4 or 4:30 pm and crowd was low. Lovely, eclectic decor. Waitress was friendly and helpful. Recommend crab cakes, shrimp and grits, tomato pie, garlic mashed potatoes and homemade blue cheese dressing for salad. Desserts looked fantastic, but we were too full to sample! Great place!

It's always great to make a great find on a spur of the moment day trip. We headed north from Logan Martin Lake into the "mountains" of northeast Alabama in search of waterfalls. We happened into to Mentone about 1 PM on a Tuesday. We were more than a little concerned about finding a suitable lunch. Not to worry -... More

We drove up for a craft fair and caught this place open by chance. The food was excellent. They had a good variety and something we all liked.

I enjoyed this café. It was small and quaint. The food was very good, they make it fresh so it takes a little longer than normal to get it to the table. Servers were very attentive and gracious. The gentleman singing in the café interacted with the customers, was funny and added to the atmosphere.

Stopped for an impromptu lunch and WOW! Food is great and the people even better. Such fantastic food and attention given. Moon: THANK YOU, Melissa and all your staff for a perfect lunch. We will be back again and this time for dinner! The music was fun, the atmosphere delightful - Magical indeed! We were on a GeoCaching trip through... More

Enter through the back door and find yourself in the general store with plenty of local arts and crafts. Try to go on the weekend and sing along with the guitar man. As soon as we opened the door, we heard a rendition of Cotton-Eyed Joe followed by many favorites of days gone by. This is an old house converted... More

A group of us went to Mentone for the weekend and this was one of the musts on our list. We had reservations for Saturday lunch and had no trouble being seated. Yes, it's BYOB, they will furnish glasses and corkscrew if you're bringing wine. Tomato Pie is a big special here and 4 of us had this as an... More

Definitely not your average small town cafe. Most of food on menu advertised as hormone free beef and chicken. My cheese burger with kettle chips and pickle spear was $13.00. There was a blackened and blue cheese crumbles on the menu also (not to my taste). It was over priced for my opinion but it was extremely busy.
