The brisket is the best and the beans are awesome. Expect a lot of people, but it's worth it. Cool little local shack.

Originally from Texas and find it very hard to find decent sliced brisket but these guys have nailed it!

Popped in for lunch with a colleague. The menu here is set up as 1,2 or 3 meats and 2 sides with price graduating respectively. Portions are pretty large so I got the 1 meat and 2 sides. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender with a good caramelized glaze. The (medium) sauce was tangy with a hint of smoky/sweet but was... More

Best Texas style BBQ in this area. My favorites are the ribs and the beef brisket. I generally do not like Alabama BBQ but I could eat here any day!

This is based on only one visit. We were there for dinner. Most days they are only open for lunch. We got there when the place was supposed to open and there were already several tables of diners. If there is a line, it does seem to move quickly and it looks worse than it is because the line starts... More

Told by a friend that the loaded potato was "the best I have ever had". Was disappointed by ours. The potato tasted a little off, hard to put into words, just not the usual taste of a baked potato. I think that Gibson's off South Memorial has a better loaded potato. The pork and the beef BBQ were really good,... More

This is some of the best Barbecue I have had in a long time. There are ribs of course! Brisket, ribs, pork, chicken & sausage were all good. Potato Salad, slaw and beans were good and seasoned well and pork plate.Rustic atmosphere. Limited side dishes, but great dessert. You better get there early because the lines are out the door!

This may well be one of the smallest restaurants in North Alabama. They only have maybe ten tables. BUT the food is fantastic! This is really good, Texas style, beef brisket. Not the normal Alabama BBQ at all. But it is really tasty and the owner personally cuts the brisket off for every customer. Go early if you want at... More
