Great lunch in Huntsville

My husband and I went here for lunch on a camping trip in the area. I had the fried green tomato BLT with sweet potato fries and he had a burger with fries. Great food and too much to eat it all. Plenty of seating, white table cloths with brown paper over.

We stopped by for dinner and had the Sweet Corn Chowder, Street Tacos, Goat Cheese, and Pecan and Apple Salads. All were excellent. Especially the fried goat cheese salads. The Sweet Corn Chowder had a nice spiciness and the street tacos had an excellent slaw and the pork belly was very well cooked. The taco shells were a bit thick... More

During a recent business visit to Huntsville, several associates recommended Commerce Kitchen for an upscale take on southern food. It is located in a quiet end of the city centre near other trendy bars and restaurants-an easy walk if you are staying in central Huntsville. My party arrived workout a reservation and we were immediately seated. However, it is fairly... More

We got a late reservation and were seated outside. The food was terrific. We liked the ambiance outside and while it was hot, the humidity was low and we were comfortable. The wait staff seemed very professional and they helped each other which I think is a sign of a well managed restaurant but each of the tables outside, three... More

Parking was kinda hard to find and thank goodness for the valet service. I went in alone one evening around 5:30 pm. I can't recall specifically what I ordered other than some type of walnut salad and some fried goat cheese. I LOVED it! I loved it so much that I returned the next evening and ordered the exact same... More

Dinner was delicious but not memorable as I had hoped. The portions seemed small for the price. I had wonderful Salmon (big enough portion for a small eater) but the "sides" were very tiny. My husband's Shrimp and Grits was not as big a portion as I had previously had there at lunch and didn't look quite as tasty. We... More

Always a pleasure to come here. The fried chicken is amazing! Soaked in buttermilk then lovingly fried, this is the softest chicken breast you will eat! The pork belly street tacos were also outstanding. Inventive cocktails and good wines. I would recommend making a reservation and asking for a booth for a more private dining experience. We will be back... More

I had the fried chicken dinner with collard greens and mashed sweet potatoes. Food was pretty good but a bit overpriced. Service was ok. I didn't like that my seat was covered in crumbs obviously left over from dinner and my finished dinner/empty plate sat on my table for a bit.

Service was good but slow, food was EXCELLENT. Salmon and shrimp & grits were delicious! Would absolutely recommend and return when in town.

My son researched this place on the July 4th weekend. We were in town for a convention and decided to give it a try downtown Huntsville. We were in for one great surprise! Food was simply "off the chain." This was 'down home' cookin' that made me feel my Grandma was hiding out in the kitchen. Staff was polite and... More
