Get the sweet potato doughnuts

The sweet potato doughnuts were the highlight. Complimentary mimosa for Sunday brunch was a nice treat. My husband had some sort of egg florentine dish and loved it. I had a frittata with spinach, tomato, and mozzarella cheese and it was flavorless and dry. It needed onions or something, and was... read more

Recently had dinner here for the first time with several friends. The food was okay for the most part, but not worth the money. I had the shrimp and grits and a Cesar salad. The salad was fine, but the shrimp was over cooked. (It's important to know that this isn't the typical "shrimp and grits" recipe in that it... More

Our extended family held an anniversary party here in their private room. The waitresses were pleasant and we were not rushed at all. The food for the most part was good; frittatas, waffles, chicken and egg dishes were very good. The French toast I had was coated with spent grain which was so-so for me. The coffee was wonderful delivered... More

I went for lunch today and found the food to be tasty with different food combinations than the same old, same old. Like mushrooms? They have a couple mushroom dishes on the menu and the always loved, Fried Green Tomatoes. The prices are in line with the food served. I did not feel I was overcharged.

I happened on this place because of the flourless torte. But, I like everything I have experienced here this evening. My GPS wasn't hitting it so I called and Maddie "walked" me in very patiently. I arrived inside an hour of close so I didn't want to take a table. Trisha, the bartender was knowledgeable (especially since she has only... More

I came here with my mom and my dad for supper. I can't remember the name of the appetizer we got, but they were fried cheese balls with jalapeños inside and a sweet jalapeño sauce. It. Was. Devine. We all LOVED it! I had the Chicken Rotini. It was delicious! I loved it! My dad had the Trout and he... More

I'm tired of the over priced, poorly prepared food and the awful, poorly trained servers. I have been a dozen times and will not make the mistake again. I live just a few blocks away and friends always say, "let's just go down to 1892" and then we always say, "why did we do that again". Great location, nicely decorated,... More

I don't review the average resturants I eat at, just the memorable dinners and lunches. First off, I almost forgot about the french pressed coffee. Get some. Smooth, flavorful - best I had in Alabama. Second, we almost drove right by the restaurant - we drove through some amazing residential neighborhoods and parked in paved parking lot off to the... We were in Huntsville for a few nights and we were looking for a local restaurant, not a chain. The food here was delicious. Some of the items we had were shrimp and grits appetizer, North Carolina trout, and Springer Mountain Farms chicken rotinini. We had creme brûlée and dark chocolate flourless cake for dessert.....YUM! The waitstaff was very attentive,... More
