The atmosphere is quaint in the historic five points district. Try the cheese plate and a glass of wine to start! They use locally grown food that makes fine dining comfortable and delicious.

My wife and I decided to get out of the house for a drink and appetizers. I had a delicous flight of beers and my wife enjoyed her wine and a martini. We ordered a few appetizers and enjoyed ourselves very much. The service was excellent--timeliness, order specifics, and knowledge of the menu. We will go back for dinner.

We’ve celebrated Valentine’s Day, my birthday with a large group, and several other visits with friends at 1892 East. I’ve enjoyed the food in large and small groups, special occasions and just a simple weekend lunch or brunch. The bar staff are particularly attentive and helpful, if you choose to dine at the bar. According to Executive Chef Steven Bunner:... More

Came here based upon a recommendation from our Innkeeper. It was an artsy and upscale small restaurant with a unique menu. I had the Louisiana shrimp, which was excellent. My spouse had the Drum, which they didn't like very much. The meal was somewhat expensive, but the food quality was good, so no complaints. It is a popular place. Why... More

We hosted my son's wedding rehearsal dinner at 1892 East Restaurant for 20 people. The food was superior as was the service.

I am partial to local, neighborhood restaurants and 1892 is a great example of why! We went for Sunday Brunch and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I had the Eggs Benedict and my companion had the Vegetable Omelet. Both were well prepared and delicious. The only downside for me is they only serve French Press coffee, which I find, gets too... Food that is either produced or cropped locally, cooked to perfection paired with great local beer list and a very decent wine list is what you will find when u visit 1892 east.

Local beers, great local food. Very reasonable neighborhood eatery. My wife has the chicken every time we eat there because it is the best she has ever tried

We traveled to Huntsville recently to visit friends. They suggested we meet at 1892 East. When my husband and I first walked in, we were a little nervous since we brought our three month-old with us. Although the restaurant was not crowded on a Tuesday night, we were afraid we might disturb the relative quiet enjoyed by those already there.... More

For travelers who want quality, but very healthy meals....the options are surprisingly limited on the road. 1892 East is a rare exception. VERY nice menu, and very interesting selections. Food was great. Atmosphere was very nice. Will come back next time I'm in Huntsville for sure.
