This was our first visit to this Cafe. Although it was crowded we managed to get a table. The service was fast and the generous portions were good. It was not exceptional but better than average. We will visit here again perhaps for lunch.

I like diners and am a fan of "mom & pop" restaurants. We checked out the reviews and decided to try The Blue Plate. We weren't impressed. Our waitress was impatient asking for our order. She then turned us over to another server. The food was average at best. The service was bad. The person checking us out didn't ask... More

Picked the daily special of chicken fried steak, sweet potato casserole, hash brown casserole & Mac n cheese. Yes, I loaded up on carbs, but they were so relish. Sweet potatoes were average not my favorite. Hash browns on the other hand were awesome as was the steak. Service is quick and sweet tea is just as it should be.... More

I stopped in with my wife (1st time for her) and she loved their fried catfish and spinach. I had the chicken fried steak which was tasty and corn -- but the green beans were somewhat bland. My roll was not very warm and the apple cobbler was quite dry. We'll try it again when next in town but I... More

I've been to breakfast here several times and always enjoyed the variety. The service was a tad slow at times, but usually good. The food has always been good, but not extraordinary. The food at this place has never been highly-flavored. They let you add the spices, etc. The portions are hearty and the prices are mid-range for what you... More

Like the title says it's a Great Cafe !! I never seen as many business people eating breakfast before. I'm not a breakfast person, but, I really enjoyed my pancake and sausage. Recommended by the people of Extended Stay...They were right!!!!

First time at Blue Plate Cafe, but it will not be my last. All of the food was very good. All of friends with me said the same thing, large portions and food was very good.

Every southern town large or small has a tradition of having one restaurant that was the place to go for good southern comfort food and a a clientele representing the entire population from street sweeper to mayor. For years Huntsville had two such restaurants: The Bon Air; and Eunices. Sadly progress and the Interstate Highway took the Bon Air and... More

I had the chicken and noodles and I would have to say that it was the best that I have ever had. The green beans were bland. They need onion, bacon or some kind of seasoning. We were surprised when my husband made a comment about the beans being not that good and the waitress comment was that somedays they... More

Check their schedule for the pork chop, it's very good and so is their hash brown casserole and summer squash! Whenever I'm in town and it's pork chop day, I'm there!
