We recently went to Legacy BBQ to watch sports on the many TVs scattered I the restaurant. The beer selections are very good. We were told what beers were not available that evening and could choose from many other options. After ordering the beers, food was the next choice. We were unfamiliar with the menu choices but, had some guidance... More

The food was not fresh nor was it warm. Severed out of order. I would give this place a very low rating....

I've written about many BBQ places before and several nearby during my stay in Hoover, AL for several weeks. I visited this place twice and was equally pleased with the FOOD each time. I prefer BBQ chicken and got a baked potato and green beans each time. That being said, the chicken was consistently cooked well and juicy throughout, and... More

Very clean with excellent wait staff. Good selection of beers and all the BBQ favorites. Ribs were very good (large St. Louis style) but was disappointed with the Sat. night prime rib special. Had good smoky flavor and was cooked as I liked but I suspect the grade of meat was "select" and not "choice" which would explain the reasonable... More

Food is average. When I go to a BBQ place, I expect the best portion of the meal should be the BBQ. Good bbq doesn't require sauce to give flavor, but rather enhance the flavor. Sides of potato salad and green beans are awesome. Fried pickles are good too. Wait staff is friendly and helpful.

Great food and even better service from the wait staff. Everyone in our group agreed... Try the ribs, they are excellent!

Typical BBQ place. The staff seemed friendly enough. The menu seemed limited to me, but if you like ribs or BBQ, you will find something. The food is good, but kind of smaller portions than what I am used too. The MacJack was a really good choice of a side dish. Overall, I would recommend.

Our waitress Ashley (I believe) said it was her first night and she was exceptional! Everyone greeted both of our children. Very nice atmosphere. Ate at a handful of places on our trip and everywhere was below average, even margheritta grill. Food here was awesome with great prices. We ordered the sampler, 1/3 ribs with the macncheese and stew. Plate... More

Last week we went to Southern Legacy on John Hawkins Parkway (Hwy. 150) in Hoover. It was a good choice. I got a fried green tomato BLT and it was delicious. I also got the sweet potato fries. They serve craft beers as well as daily specials. My hubands got some BBq and he had okra as a side. It... More

My husband and I went to Southern Legacy BBQ for they're prime rib (my husband loves prime rib). I looked all over the menu trying to find something I liked, and I found it difficult to find something to eat for me. I can say that's mostly my fault as I don't like BBQ & I was in a BBQ... More
