I have family in Birmingham so we visit several times a year. We always get a few dozen orange rolls...those are my absolute favorite. The different kinds of meltaways are delicious and so are the many different cookies we have tried.

Live out of town and every chance my family gets we go by to get things. The white cakes are awesome and the cookies are too. My wife loves the petufours and cupcakes.

Had lunch and also bought some melt aways. Everything was absolutely delicious. I would have given a 5 star review if we were goin strait off the food. However the young girl working the counter clearly missed the part of her job description that calls for "customer service". She was beyond rude and lackluster. Sad.

I brought a decorated sheet cake to a gathering tonight and it was a big hit. It was fresh and moist, and dense like a cake made from scratch. It was beautiful and tasted great. The cake I brought last year from a discount store was nowhere near as impressive.

I brought a decorated half-sheet cake (white with almond buttercream frosting) to a gathering tonight and it got rave reviews. The cake was fresh and moist, and had the dense texture of a cake made from scratch. Last year's cake (from another bakery) was not nearly so impressive.

This place has been hit or miss for me over the years. I'd had some pretty dry cakes at birthday parties that came from Savages, but I've also had some good pastries. It really is hit or miss for the most part.

Savages is in a great location - surrounded by boutique shops and on a well-manicured street. My fiance and I went there for breakfast hoping to get a freshly-baked croissant or anything freshly-baked for that matter. There was a plethora of sweet treats to choose from but nothing breakfast-related. We opted for the cinnamon roll but were disappointed with the... More

I have been going here for 35 years. Great bakery selection. Very good light lunch. Excellent sandwiches. Very fresh and good variety of breads, rolls and muffins. My latest favorite is the chocolate cake bomb. Small, delicious, melt in your mouth morsels. My only complaint is you have to make sure they give you the freshest available bakery treats. Sometimes... More

I have to say that the bake goods are delicious, but service is poor. The last two birthday cakes I ordered were not decorated like I had ask ! Very disappointing !
