The best bbq I've ever had!

Located in a quaint part of Homewood, Saw's is the perfect place to stop in for a good bbq plate, complete with a side of a bbq rib. The place is small so not the best for a big group of people. The service is fast and the food is amazing. Their mac and cheese is delicious!

Found the place just looking stuff up driving back to Birmingham. Got a sampler platter the first time I was there, ribs this time. It's really good, probably my second favorite BBQ place all time. The sauces are excellent. You won't leave hungry. I think the prices are reasonable. You can drink a beer too!!

I try the local BBQ no matter where I visit in the South. I have tried many, but the pulled pork BBQ ay Saw's is the most tender and tastiest I have found. I do not know what they do to the turnip greens but don't miss out on them as they are also the best I have had to... More

Some of the best BBQ I have ever had. And I had the chicken with whitw bbq sauc3. The rest of my crowd has pork and raved about it. Staff was a bit unfriendly and several people came in around 7.45 (they close at 8pm) and we're turned away as it was too close to closing time. I would be... More

We traveled several hundred miles to Birmingham to attend an event at the Alabama Theatre. Saw's BBQ was recommended by the staff at our hotel. This referral was outstanding! We ordered pulled pork plates with side orders of baked beans, potato salad and a 'masher,' an enormous baked potato topped with butter, sour cream and a generous portion of shredded... More

I love BBQ! I love trying different BBQ places - this one is amazing! I had the pulled pork sandwich with Mac and cheese! Both are incredible. Tiny little place and had a huge line out the door, but definitely worth the wait! Save room for the banana pudding! It was light and fluffy, great flavor! Great customer service, very... More

Had the pulled pork sandwich. Really enjoyed the tangy, vinegar based BBQ sauce. The greens were delicious and tender. Good food at a good price.

Third BBQ we've had this trip. Stopped in on a late Friday afternoon. No line. Order your cue at the counter, then the order is delivered to you. I ordered the pulled pork plate, and my wife had the pork rib plate. We had turnip greens, baked beans, and cole slaw as sides. The greens weren't very good, the baked... More

Authentic southern BBQ - small, quaint place with only about 8 tables, but the food makes any wait worth the while. The food quantity they give you is enormous and the sweet tea is fantastic!

We were on a southern road trip with our family trying different BBQ places along the way. We hit Saw's on a Saturday at lunch and it was packed with locals. The line went out the door, but it moved very fast. We ate outside on the tables and had a great time. The white and red BBQ was outstanding... More
