Pleasantly Surprised!

We booked several rooms for a family reunion and we were NOT disappointed. This is a beautiful get-away without spending tons of money. The views were breathtaking and the food was awesome. The only negative is that I had to KEEP calling to book my reservation. I was so ready to say forget it, but... read more

Loved the food, the price was affordable. The view was out of this world. If you are looking for a place to enjoy the scenery and eat good food. This place is for you. Can't wait to go back.

This state park is gorgeous with an abundance of wildlife and great hiking trails with guiding. Wonderful bass fishing in the 69,000 acre lake which Bass masters ranks among the best. The next major activity is in Jan/Feb on weekends..."Eagle Awareness program with indoor presentations and guided fieldtrips to Eagle nests or Cathedral Caverns. The Park has an 18 hole... More

The lodge is beautiful on the inside with a rustic log cabin feel. The food is delicious, but on the pricy side. The one thing you cannot beat is the view! You can see for miles on their scenic overlook. It overlooks Lake Guntersville and it is simply breathtaking! Please check this place out!

Check in was wonderful, very easy, very nice staff. They gave us a choice of sites due to the fact there were several open. The only thing I could say is that the grass was in somewhat need of cutting, but they had just had a lot of rain recently, so it was understandable. And lo and behold, they were... More

It had been a couple years since we visited. The Sunday brunch was such a disappointment. There was not a single green vegetable on the buffet. The only vegetable was navy beans. Other sides were mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese. The salad bar was depressing with bagged salad and a few toppings. The catfish filet was fine but they... More

Spent Labor Day weekend in the campground and came up the mountain (3 miles) to the Lodge/Restaurant to eat every day. Breakfast: They have a buffet or you can order off the menu. I had the buffet it was excellent and includes coffee, tea, Orange , Grapefruit, Pineapple, Cranberry juices and milk. $10.95 My wife ordered the Mountain Muffin. It... More

Delicious food, amazing views of the lake, buffet style with salad bar, soup, etc. The desserts are also delicious!

We had family visiting so we decided to eat at the Lodge for brunch. The four of us were seated as soon as we entered the dining room. Our waitress was Amanda and kept our glasses refilled and plates cleared. We all enjoyed the large cuts of prime rib craved for us. The vegetables, ribs, and fried chicken were also... More

Service was awful on the two occasions we ate there. Each time it wasn't crowded and we hardly saw our server. When she did refill our drinks she brought it in a to-go cup. It gave the impression that my welcome was used up. The food didn't taste bad but didn't live up to the price they posted. Exception to... More
