Guntersville State Park is definately worth a visit. There is a nice water front campground and a very nice newly renovated Lodge perched on top of a mountain with a breathtaking view of Guntersville Lake. Also for the golf guys they have a pretty nice course. Don't miss this hidden jewel.

Delicious food, amazing views of the lake, buffet style with salad bar, soup, etc. The desserts are also delicious!

We had family visiting so we decided to eat at the Lodge for brunch. The four of us were seated as soon as we entered the dining room. Our waitress was Amanda and kept our glasses refilled and plates cleared. We all enjoyed the large cuts of prime rib craved for us. The vegetables, ribs, and fried chicken were also... More

Service was awful on the two occasions we ate there. Each time it wasn't crowded and we hardly saw our server. When she did refill our drinks she brought it in a to-go cup. It gave the impression that my welcome was used up. The food didn't taste bad but didn't live up to the price they posted. Exception to... More

We have stayed at the campground and at the lodge. Guntersville State Park is the flagship of Alabama state parks. With beautiful views, great fishing and pure relaxation. Make sure you eat at the lodge on Friday nights all you can seafood buffet it is excellent. We stayed at the state park last Thanksgiving and ate lunch at the lodge... More

It's Father's Day and we came for the Brunch Buffet. The buffet is filled with nice looking food but it's lunch food. You can order an omelet but there isn't any bacon, sausage, hash browns, waffles, pancakes, biscuits, eggs or any of the other traditional brunch foods. AND you can't order breakfast from the menu either. This is called a... More

We tried the Friday Seafood buffet and were disappointed. Mostly Fried, previously frozen seafood. The only thing decent were the potatoes. The lodge is beautiful and the view is spectacular. Surely, they can do better than this food?

My husband and I were just passing through Guntersville on our way to a graduation when we decided to tour the area. Oh my what an incredible site! Don't miss this spot. It has everything. There is all kinds of lodging available from campgrounds, RV hook-up to mountain-top chalets and cottages. Good prices. The park has boat rentals, 18-hole golf... More

My Husband and I wanted to go somewhere great for dinner. We have heard about the Lodge having Seafood Buff. We drove from B'ham to try it out. Food was not hot as should be. No taste. Not any choices and sides. Dessert was a joke. Canned and bought food. Mixed up cream cond.milk and lemon juice and called it... More
