No substitutions, unless we do

One of our usual favorites in Gulf Shores. My wife is a vegetarian and there are not many suitable entrees on most menus down here. Even though every page of the menu states there are no substitutions, we asked if it were possible to get the fried green tomato appetizer on a PoBoy. After checking... read more

The $9.99 for a dozen oysters caught our eye...and well...I guess you get what you pay for. We tried a number of dishes, all were disappointing. When they say "buffalo" shrimp...it's just that, shrimp drenched in buffalo sauce. The service is great, just need to revamp the menu, a little too bland/basic.

This used to be one of our favorite places even though it's always been overly expensive. The manager--Gina--is no longer there and does it ever show. The food is markedly worse in the past few months and, unless the owners get back to being involved and raise the bar, we are done eating here after 20 years! Very frustrating experience... More

My son took me and his daughter here Thursday night (3/26/15). We didn't have to wait to be seated even thou it was very crowded but we did have to wait probably 30 mins. for our food but it was worth the wait. We have been coming to the AL coast for years but this was our 1st visit to... More

This was our 3rd time eating at King Neptune's in the last 4 years. Our whole family loves this place! It's small and casual but they have great food. We have had the crab legs, fried shrimp and the Royal Reds. All were excellent. If you have not had Royal Red shrimp before, you should try them. The waitress warned... More

We came here 2 years ago and couldn't wait to eat here again! We weren't disappointed! My husband had the Caribbean platter and I had the shrimp wrapped in bacon. Of course we had to have a platter of the Parmesan garlic oysters. They're sooooo good. And for dessert we had the deep fried cheesecake. The bill was expensive but... More

I've tried a lot, but the Caribbean platter takes the cake. Some of the best seafood I've ever had. The traditional bloody Mary is seriously to die for.

The large crowd drew us into this restaurant. We enjoyed our meal but it was nothing to write home about. My liver and onions were OK and my wife's shrimp was average. Our other visit was so non-descript that neither of us remember what we had. But it was reasonably priced and the waitress was quite friendly.

They all liked the happy hour but when we were ready to go we wanted change for $100.oo bill to leave some for atip, the... More

We ate here twice. They have $1 drinks and beer! The food was comfort food, nothing fancy. The shrimp and grits and Jambalya were decent. Not great but decent. The second time we had the seafood specials. Which were good. The staff was super friendly and prices not high.
