The food here is one of the best in Gulf Shores, although in general I prefer to buy fresh seafood from Billy's and cook myself in the condo.

It was just simply enjoyable. The food doesn't really knock you off your feet, but the food is above average. I would suggest the alligator bites. Service was good and got our food quick.

Desoto's is two story hole in the wall that shouldn't be missed. If you want a fancy restaurant or pretty interiors, this isn't for you. If you are satisfied with great food, super casual, and a small 2nd story almost view of the ocean with older beach decor and an a/c unit that drips on your shoulder while you eat... More

Had the Royal Reds and Snow Crab clusters. Both were great but the Royal Reds tasted alot like baby lobsters... They tasted like shrimp would taste but had a very sweet taste to them! Service was fast and friendly! Will definitely go back!

I can't give it a bad rating because everyone's food was good/okay but the place is falling apart. Tables are old, walls look dirty and the place is dark. When you walk in it feels like a cave. They need to remodel! Service was good though and bread was very good.

I would never eat there again. The place was dark and dirty. The menu had mold and mildew on them. There was also a smell in the room. My food was over cooked, the other guest said the food was good. I always try to watch and see how many cars are outside in the parking lot of a restaurant... More

The food was excellent. I tried a shrimp sampler and couldn't decide which version of shrimp was my favorite. Fair pricing. I will be returning every chance I get. :)

I ate here with a party of six. The orders I recall were Broiled Seafood platter, Seafood platter, Shrimp Platter. The shrimp platter was really good, fried shrimp, grilled shrimp and stuffed shrimp. Without a doubt the grilled shrimp were the best, but all were good. The rolls that were brought to the table were excellent with the honey butter.... More

This is well worth a visit. the prices are great and the food is even better. coconut shrimp is to die for and they serve delicious home made breads. it is nothing fancy, but is well worth a visit.
