This place is nothing fancy, very casual and service is slow. The food is reasonable for what you get. If you are a vacationer remember that the sales tax for Gulf Shores is 10% which is even assessed on food and will be on your dinning bill. We left a cash tip of 15% on our table tor our... read more

We stopped in here due to a friend's reference, and we were glad we did. Lunchtime here (off-season) was kinda slow, so we got right in and got our appetizer quickly (oysters on the half-shell, delicious and fresh). Food was served quickly and in good portions. My pecan-encrusted broiled flounder was fantastic, and the homemade mac & cheese delicious, too.... More

We eat at De Soto's every time we go to Gulf Shores. The food is very good & reasonably priced. After you are seated they bring out a basket of different types of bread & it is delicious. The meal portions are large and delicious! This restaurant is very family friendly.

Arrived too late for senior menu, so portions were over the top! Great service, thanks to Jennifer, but wish we had split a dinner. Took a doggie bag back to hotel, but it probably will go to waste. Bartender generous with cocktail mixes, and loved the local atmosphere. .

Four of us went there for lunch. The grouper was very good and my husband enjoyed the crunch chicken tenders. Service was only okay. The waitress seemed annoyed we asked for remoulade for the fried green tomatoes. Very limited beer and wine choices.

Plenty of options on the menu. I had the crab cakes and they were great. Our service was very good also. It is an older restaurant and could possibly use some updating. I would eat there again if back in the area.
