We went with friends. They have a large selection off the 55+ menu including coconut shrimp. The batter was light and delicoius when dipped in the sweet orange sauce served on the side. The sweet potato casserole was good too along with the homemade hot rolls...mmm I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.

Small portions at big prices. Waitress was good as were the drinks. This place is outdated, felt like we were entering an old musty basement. First thing we see is a pile of stuff and the staff eating meeting and doing bookwork in the front booth. Should have walked out.

We stopped here on a recommendation of a local. The staff was friendly and attentive, but the food was a little disappointing. Parts were cold when we got it. The Ceasar salad had anchovies in the dressing, which was not indicated on the menu. Dinner was $50 for the two of us. Not worth it in my opinion, but seemed... More

Great food at reasonable prices. Usually a short wait but well worth wait. They have lunch specials every day. Close to beach.

Went for lunch and had the grilled fish. Not one thing in the place was good. First the restaurant smells terrible. I can not understand why customers are there, maybe they have no sense of either taste or smell. Try other restaurants.

Typical fast fried food battered with no taste. Cannot recommend. Place needs a big make-over. Its too bad because the location isn't that bad. Can't be that difficult to change some things.

Desoto's had good food for a good price. The staff was dull and the place needs a complete facelift.

The best meal we had while we were at Gulf Shores. My husband had a seafood dish and I had chicken. They had a senior menu which was great for me.

We were there in winter and the over 55 menu is available at any time for dinner. So we had a great meal of grilled fish, 2 sides, and ice tea. Staff efficient, not friendly. A/C was too cold so we got our coats out of the car and then it was OK.
