We eat here everytime we visit Gulf Shores. Best sefood on the Island. Food and service are consistently good. Staff is friendly, and always remembers us from previous visits.

We have eaten here several times over the years and have always had a great experience. Best seafood in Gulfshores!! The bread is a favorite too. You won't be disapointed.

Definitely liked the fact that we didn't have to wait too long for a table. Conch fritters are really good. We had a variety of entrees. Grilled seafood platter was good and so was the fried platter. My daughters split some kind of pasta Alfredo with seafood and thought it was good. Again, no complaints but wasn't exactly wowed either.

We went to this restaurant b/c of reviews. It was pretty good. I ordered the stuffed shrimp which had a very good taste, yet it was too greasy. Rolls were good, salads were very good with good dressing, and side potatoes were good. The waiter was very nice which always helps the place get a better rating. He seemed to... More

I have food allergies and have to follow a gluten free diet. De Sotos were great about it, even had a chef come out to see about my allergy and double checked ingredients for me. Very kind, nice people which made me more comfortable ordering my food.

The grilled and fried shrimp were excellent. They provide different kinds of bread as an appetizer and it's very good. Overall great experience.

We had been told this restaurant was a local favorite with the locals, so naturally it should be awesome! Disappointed! The food was fair but nothing special. There's a lot more restaurant's in the area that beat this one by a MILE, with exceptionaly better quality and taste. Service was poor. There was 4 in our party everyone recieved their... More

Our family of 6 adults had dinner at De Soto's on June 19, 2014. Three in our party ordered blackened grouper. The fish we received was not grouper. All three servings were extremely thin and identical in shape and size, looking more like farm raised fish than grouper. We were at the beach for a week and De Soto's was... More

We like to get there in time to enjoy the Seniors menu when we can, just right portions at great prices. The regular menu is very good, a nice variety of fish, chicken, beef cooked as you like, fried, grilled, blackened, broiled. Steamed mixed vegetables and yellow rice are nice side options. Summertime often means a little wait time for... More
