Great service food was good was wonderful to be able to get in with a group of 10. Food was more fried and looking for some options that were not fried.

Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. We also enjoyed the view of the water behind the restaurant. The food was ok, my wife and I both had clam chowder which was good, and different from most clam chowders in that it had some spice to it. The shrimp and mahi mahi was just average though. The salad bar had... More

I ordered the stuffed flounder which tasted old so I asked and yes it is previously frozen....yuck!! My husband had the shrimp po-boy which after eating has been sick all night... Not fresh seafood!! I don't understand why you would serve previously frozen seafood when you can buy it fresh!!! The manager did take 50% off the bill after I... More

Service was excellent here. Tried the raw oysters and gumbo. They were excellent. Nice atmosphere sitting along the water.

My family has been going to this place for years. The gumbo 5 years ago use to be the best. Lots of seafood, crab claws, and shrimp. What they served was like chili. There was not seafood and it had. Burnt taste to it. We also had peel and eat and they were like paste. Awful. The fish on the... More

No trip to the beach is complete for us without a visit to Original Oyster House. The food is always good, the prices are reasonable and - although it is always crowded - the service is always excellent.

Had a great time. Took a few times to understand our writer's accent but he was extremely attentive and knowledgeable. The wit fish po boy was amazing. The friend oysters were also a great choice. Not a fan of the turnip greens, but that is just my taste. Overall would absolutely go back

We were a group of 10 - with 6 children. The 6 kids were at their own table across from us. That alone started the dinner off great! Firstly, the oyster platter we ordered was some of the best oysters my husband and I have eaten and we have tried them often. We all loved our food. It was well... More

Have been coming here for almost 10 years. Quality of the food has definitely declined over the past couple years. Seems like they've become too corporate ! Crab cakes are mostly bread, gumbo is thin and uninteresting, salad bar is VERY basic (other than the pickled okra) and the shrimp was pasty and tasteless. Hopefully someone will wake up here...
