My favorite place to eat at the beach. Just a few blocks away from the beach or from the main intersection at Hwy 59. This place has survived several hurricanes but keeps coming back. If you stop at the welcome center when you get into town they will give you a coupon for a free cup of gumbo at Mikee's.... more

We just returned from a company weekend trip and we snuck off Saturday afternoon for lunch. This is my husbands favorite place to visit. It was awesome. Great fresh crab claws and oysters. We ate at Mikee's on our last night in Gulf Shores in June 2007. The food was ok, not as good as Big O's. The grouper was good, the amber jack was not. It's a bit pricey - kid's meals are $6.00. All in all, it was not our favorite. more

Based on the reviews my husband and I decided to try Mikee's. It was OK, but we expected better. Our fried shrimp was not as good as what we received at the Original Oyster House. We probably won't go back. more
