You can not beat the buffet at lunch--a choice of 4 different meats, vegetgables, and at least 4 different salad selections. Go on banana pudding day--just for that. The waitresses are great. They will cut up with you and even sit at your table to talk.

When you pull up to a restaurant for breakfast and it's packed, you know it's good. After a long day of fishing, I brought an appetite so we hit the buffet. Grits (regular and cheese), eggs, pancakes, gravy, all kinds of meats, etc. They even had a guy making omelets that looked good but I didn't want to wait. It... More

On a Winter Escape traveling back west from Pensacola, FL across Perdido Key and approaching lunch time at Gulf Shores, AL we found a quick, tasty & lite brunch at Hazel's Nook. The friendly if slightly zany staff welcomed us warmly. The buffet is small but just what we needed.

This was a down home place but a little greasy for me. If you are used to a meat and three you will love this place. My sister loves their breakfast. She is really into the Home cooking .

They offer a very tasty and reasonably priced breakfast whether you order off the menu or take the buffet. The variety of choices is good also, either way. Another plus is buttered toast! Many places here just give it to you dry and you have to butter it. I think you can get breakfast anytime. We've eaten here several times... More

The waitress welcomed us like we were her long lost very best friends. Had their French toast but will try the buffet the next time.

We ate there for the first time on this trip to Gulf Shores. Can't believe we've not been here before. Like a neighborhood diner. The waitresses knew tons of the people there calling them by name and the rest of us they just called honey, sweetie and dear. We had the breakfast buffet which also includes made to order omelettes.... More

We ate there two mornings and enjoyed the buffet. One morning we had a great server the next morning it was not as good, but overall the experience was great.

We winter in Gulf Shores every winter. Hazel's Nook is our go diner with wonderful food and the best waitresses in town. We always get the buffet. The selections are not bountiful, however there is enough variety to satisfy most patrons. Each day of the week there are different hot selections. Be sure and pick up a weekly menu to... More

Reviews were mostly good so we thought we would give it a try. Older place, small but fast paced. Service was great and they were fast to turn over the tables between diners. We chose the breakfast buffet, I usually DONT like buffets, but this one was very good. Good food and a good value! Willie (a female) was our... More
