Local spot with decent breakfast

We had a large group and decided to try breakfast here during our trip to the beach. Hazel's Nook has been around for a long time and many would consider it an institution. We found the place to be clean and the food was your basic breakfast fare. Biscuits were frozen, buffet's fruit was mainly... read more

My mother always wants to eat here each time we visit Gulf Shores in the spring. Honestly it's a fight every year because the place is terrible. They have a breakfast bar and it consists of frozen French toast, frozen biscuits, canned or packet mix sausage gravy, canned fruit and nothing else to brag about. It is a total rip... More

We ate breakfast here for the first time and the buffet was great!! It's a nice and clean diner and friendly staff. The food on the buffet was fresh and service was great as well. It's well worth the money and very affordable.

Great food, and a AWSOME waitress!!! Willie is her name, she jokes around and makes sure your taken care of!! The bar is off the chain!!! Only went there during lunch but not breakfast. If the breakfast is as good as lunch it will be the place that I would go everyday!! P.S.- To Willie: woo pig sooie!!

Food was good got seated quickly, but the waitress kept trying to rush us out the door. If you put your fork down to pause eating she would come over and ask if you were done. I picked up my phone to check a message from the person watching our house and she yelled at me to get off my... More

Duck's has a pretty nice 50s diner vibe and the breakfast buffet was great. If you're not a buffet person, there is "to-order" options. The restaurant was busy and our waitress was a tad rude, but whatever.

First....be aware that Hazel's Nook and the other Hazel's are NOT the same. Hazel's Nook is a small place...hence the "nook" reference that serves a delicious breakfast. We had made to order omelets that were great. There is also a buffet, but I didn't try it. The best part about the place were the two waitresses who shared a friendly... More

We ate here on Sunday morning about 9 am and had no wait. We all 3 ate the buffet and there was something for everyone. This buffet was much better than Shoney's. I loved the sausage, link sausage and bacon, lots of bacon. They also had eggs pancakes, and with every buffet you get the omelet of your choice. My... More

This is a small diner. The service is great like walking into Granny's kitchen. Buffet style or order from the menu. Po Boys are a great bet . All food is great. Biscuits are to die for. Eat here when you dont want to over pay for your meal.

After leaving Easter Sunday services we decided to grab a quick bite to eat as we were heading to the beach for the day. We stumbled upon Hazels and decided to give it a try. Wow is all we could say! Such a GREAT buffet with breakfast lunch and dinner being served all at once with a special make your... More
