We stopped in Cafe Beignets one morning to grab some breakfast to go on our way to Gulf Shores State Park. We ordered coffee and three beignets, which were promptly served to us. Cost was minimal ($5 for a coffee and 3 beignets), but, having grown up eating New Orleans beignets, we found these a bit lacking. The main problem... more

Cafe Beignets opens early for those of us who are up between 6 and 6:30 a.m. They serve until noonish. We ordered coffee - it was wonderful! We ordered both filled types of beignets. My favorite was the vanilla with chocolate on top! It was quiet - we were there at 7 a.m.; but with call ins, carry outs, etc.... more

Get ready to get messy; these beignets are served piping hot and covered in powdered sugar, so you'll be licking your fingers and wishing it would never end. We get them every morning whenever we're down here on vacation and it makes us wish we had these back home! Excellent quality. more
