Was in Fort Morgan area and selected Behind the Pines based on Tripadvisor reviews. Was not disappointed. Food was good and prices reasonable (not amazing, but fair). Service was very good and staff made certain visit was pleasant. We will return here on future visits.

We tried out Behind the Pines on the last night of our trip and sure wish we would have tried it sooner. Wonderful place and friendly staff. Will definitely go again. The food was the best we had during the while trip.

Behind the Pines is a small restaurant directly behind a local grocery (The Pines) on Fort Morgan Road. It is a very casual place but has a high health rating. We enjoyed fish tacos and grilled shrimp with new potatoes. They serve the tacos very hot with crispy tortillas serving home made bang bang sauce. Ours fish was blackened and... More

We arrived on Friday and had not gone shopping for the week, I had read the reviews and it is so close to the Gulf Shores Plantation that we decided to try it! So glad we did! Kelly was great from the minute we walked in! Our kids shared a kids shrimp and fries and a fried shrimp meal, 12... More

The fish was a local variety that I had never tried before. What a nice surprise! The Gumbo was thick and yummy. Lots of shrimp and other fish bits. My husband had the "Nookie" burger. He told me it was a hand made patty, not the pre-made patty you get in other restaurants. Everything was reasonably priced. The only disappointment... More

Our family of 6 found this unassuming place while on our recent vacation to Gulf Shores. We chose it because it was so close to our Condo. We will be returning again, because it was amazing. The food was great, with a good variety. Very much a casual, locals kinda place. I wouldn't call it cheap, but it was reasonable... More

Get the bang bang shrimp !! Great local bar - no frills - just like home. Staff was friendly and talkative. We will go back there again.

Good food; friendly environment. Hidden behind a gas station and pizza shop. Nice little bar as well if that's your thing or stop in for lunch and dinner. Fair prices; good food.

We were looking for a place that we didn't have to wait 1.5 hours to be seated. We were able to walk in and sit down at the Pines. However, it took at least an hour to get our food. In fairness, there were 12 people in our party, but everything we ordered was either fried or grilled (which I... More
