Mmmmmm

Pretty good turkey. Nice little quaint place. Good price for quality. You can even buy some of their roasted turkey packaged for travel. Nice gazebo area to sit and walk dogs if traveling. Nice store next to restaurant. Just follow turkey tracks lol

We stopped for lunch on a trip through town. Avoiding another burger joint, we appreciated Bates smoked turkey. You order at a counter. We had 3 sandwiches and one piece of pecan pie for $22.50. They were fine. A little bland, as some reviewers have said, but they offer cranberry relish and an assortment of hot sauces. Size was average... More

We had stopped at Priesters before for their buffet, but this beats them hands down for lunch...Really good turkey (organic?)--got the turkey club and the Gobbler (both really good) Good service and quick meals. Worth a lunch stop on the way to Mobile or Gulfport/Biloxi.

Bates House of Turkey specializing in turkey platters and turkey sandwiches with sides and deserts. The turkey is OK but nothing special. The turkey was more like deli THIN SLICED turkey roll ! ! You place your order at the walk up counter and then wait for your name to be called. Then you walk up to the counter pick... More

Whether you are dining in or taking out, Bates House of Turkey is the best! I took a smoked turkey dinner to my mother in law at Thanksgiving. For right at $100, we had turkey dinner for four with sweet potatoes, green bean casserole and pecan pie. Then in March, I was on a road trip with a friend and... More

But it was not. Ordered the Turkey and Dressing. The meal came with two sides, cranberry sauce, rolls and cornbread. For my sides I ordered squash casserole and butter beans. The sides were both very good as was the bread. I wish I could say the same for the turkey and dressing, but both were just bad. The turkey appeared... More

Looking for unique eating experience while driving through south Alabama, came upon Bates House of Turkey. Sounded interesting. Sure enough, they pretty much serve turkey. Being lunch time, I didn't order a meal, but instead a sandwich and sides. I thought -- 'smoked turkey', bet they do that good!' The sandwich was average, the turkey flavoring also average. I'd say... More

Just a random gas stop on a very long road trip, around lunchtime, and our dining options in Greenville included about every fast food chain, and this little place, Bates Smoked Turkey. (We'd seen a billboard earlier on the road.) We went in not knowing what to expect, but figuring it would be better than the other options, and left... More

My husband and I went there for lunch the other day and ordered their Hickory Smoked Turkey Sandwiches (one regular size and another off the kid's menu) + 2 soda drinks and a slice of a Key Lime Pie. The total price for the meal was a little over $19. When asked if we wanted mayo and lettuce on our... More

Second visit just as good as the first. This legendary establishment earns all the awards. Excellent meal, very responsible prices, friendly staff. Can't to order a turkey this Thanksgiving.
