So as locals, we've seen the billboards about the throwed rolls about a million times. Every time we've thought about visiting, it's been a mob scene with an hour wait for a table - no thanks. However, this past weekend, we were in the neighborhood, were hungry for an early dinner, and the parking lot wasn't packed as usual, so... More

Ok this is one of those places you have to go if you get to Alabama! Great southern comfort food, and they throw hot delicious rolls to you from across the restaurant! Then they have a half dozen 'pass around' sides where the staff walk through the restaurant with big pans of all kinds of southern sides that you can... More

The pass arounds were better than the menu food. Husband had the steak but it was not as big as advertised nor was it cooked how I asked. The rolls were delicious as was the apple butter and syrup. Macaroni and tomatoes were too sweet. Spend your money else where.

I loved this place as a kid and we made a point to come here on our way down to Gulf Shores, but I must say that our meal was just plain bad. Maybe it's what I got, but hardly anything was good. I got the BBQ Pork Steak and it was just terrible. It had a weird, plasticky taste... More

I have heard about Lambert's and finally got a chance to eat lunch there this past Sunday...they open at 1030, get there by 1100! I had the "special" which was smoked chicken that day...even better than Babe's in Dallas. My wife had fried chicken, not as good as Babe's, but she loved it also. They throw you a fresh hotroll... Visited for the first time while vacationing in Gulf Shores. Hostess was not friendly at all, but our waitress was awesome. Huge home cooked portions and hot rolls. All five of us had enough left over for another meal...not including the pass arounds. Would definitely visit again.

After seeing this place on the way into Orange Beach, I looked it up on my phone and we decided we'd have to go. The food is good, not amazing, but with the throwed rolls, pass arounds, balloons for kids etc it was a really fun dinner.

Food and service were good. The atmosphere and service were great. I've been to all three of their restaurants. We left full. I'd return. I consider Lamberts better than Cracker Barrel, I suspect because they are a small company.

9/19/14 As we were traveling east on Hwy.-10 we saw a sign board for Lambert,s. Since we have been to the other 2 we thought this would be a nice place to have lunch/dinner. I put it in my NUVI GPS and it said it was only 18 miles to next turn. We were going that way so I said... More

You will not finish your meal, The food was excellent and I,as a pretty good eater, could not finish my dinner. The pass-arounds are in addition to your sides that come with your dinner and then the rolls are some of the best ever. Lambert's probably does not need another good review, but I couldn't pass up the chance to... More
