We visited Lambert's by recommendation from our friends back home. We didnt have any pass arounds because we knew we couldnt eat it all! The rolls were yummy and the food was good.

The food was tasteless, no flavor. Our waitress never came back to our table except to give check. We've eaten at other Lambert's and it has always been very good. We were very displeased with this visit. There was nothing positive about it.

I guarantee these folks would know me by my first name. You talk about down home cooking, this is the epitome of "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Father Knows Best" combined...meaning this is the food I grew up with in the "South". Sounds like our home at family get together during holidays...plenty of wonderful food passed around keeping your plate full.... More

Went there with my husband and in-laws. I bragged about what I saw on food channel but the men were not looking forward to eating there whatsoever. Lamberts certainly changed their mind. They talked about impressive amounts of home cooked food being passed around. In fact they talked about it for days! We had dinner with our leftovers the next... More

Really enjoyed the food and left with tons of leftovers for two people after leaving the restaurant. Even without the pass out sides you get a ton of food. If done right you can walkout with 1 or 2 extra meals worth of leftovers per person. The price is also reasonable for 2 adults and a child it came out... More

Huge portions of home cooked food. We all had leftovers. The fried chicken is amazing. The server was fun and joked around with us most of the night. We will go back here on our next trip to the Gulf.

Not sure what more you can say that hasn't already been said but this is one of the few places that actually lives up to the hype! We have eaten at the other 2 in Missouri and this one is just as good, best roast beef I have ever had. There is always a wait but it is worth it... More

This is the home of the "throwed rolls" and besides having good homemade food, it is an eating experience with the waiters throwing the rolls and the servers dishing out food from large bowls. The chicken livers and frog legs were both very good. The sides are plentiful and it was a fun meal.

There was a short. 15 minute wait at 2:00 on a Friday afternoon but well worth it. The portions were generous and everyone took food home except me and I just ate the pass-around vegetables which were tasty and plentiful along with a side salad. Service was speedy and attentive. Just be careful about catching the "throwed rolls". They could... More

Quite surprised at "cash or check only" especially when catering to vacation crowds. Lives up to the reputation about wonderful, warm throwed rolls and far too much food in a single serving. To leave hungry would be tragic, not gonna happen. My wife had been to the Missouri location years ago with a tour group. no disappointments. wonderful experience.
