Mom's birthday!

Late Sunday lunch. Seafood buffet with plenty of southern favorites. Crab salad, shrimp salad, crawfish bisque, seafood gumbo, and cheese grits. Mom was happy, so everyone's happy! As an extra bonus right now (June 2015) they are doing 2 for 1 if you bring a church bulletin on Sunday or Monday!

We have been coming here for over 20 years and love to bring out of town visitors. The building is over 150 years old and the wood paneling and history of the structure is fascinating. The buffet is loaded with salads and southern favorites. We like to arrive at opening, before the crowds come. Hope you find it as delightful... More

Good food fer decent price . The service and restaurant both unique, food is decent. Not the best , decent. Lost its charm after a few visits as same buffet items and we prefer variety

I have been coming to this restaurant for at least 20 years and they never disappoint me. I especially love the salad bar and vegetables - the cheese/apple casserole is the best thing ever - I eat it for dessert - the wait staff are very friendly and attentive and the place itself is lovely - so much beautiful wood.... This is a great place to eat especially while traveling. It is a quiet, beautiful atmosphere that will calm your nerves on your way to or from the beach. We love a good salad bar and vegetables after all the fast food and fried food we ate. It is right on your way to the beach. We have been a... More

We actually had our wedding reception at The Gift Horse. The owner, and staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The food was served buffet style with more than enough to go around. There was an abundance of great southern style foods, a blend of southern classics. I would definitely recommend visiting The Gift Horse for a great meal. The decor... More

The Gift Horse in Foley, AL is a great place to eat. The food is not your ordinary, run-of-the-mill southern food but always delicious and memorable. This is a great place for Sunday lunch after church or a quiet place to relax over a great meal while visiting the Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area. There is so much history in the... More

I loved this old building and the decor. The buffet features southern cooking with southern charm. This restaurant would be suitable for celebrating a special occasion or for a larger group occasion or wedding rehearsal dinner. They offer coupons and special deals at different times, so you would want to check. The local paper, The Mullet Wrapper has good coupons... More

Beautiful old building with very interesting history. Pick up a brochure in the gift shop as you enter the restaurant and read a little about the building before you go inside if it is your first visit. It will make your visit more enjoyable. There's so many interesting newsclippings displayed on the wall, as well as beautiful art to look... More
