The salmon and asparagus, broccoli, and the chocolate chip skillet desert were excellent. The service people were excellent.

Last week, 8 friends and I drove to Florence for the specific purpose of eating at City Hardware. We were NOT disappointed. The food was absolutely delicious. We had such a hard time choosing between all of the wonderful selections. Several of us got the day's special which was a tasty chicken dish. Others got the Fried Green Tomato BLT... More

Wife ordered salmon with brussel sprouts and rice with an emphasis about her dairy and gluten allergies. Dish came out with mashed potatoes, server said they'd be fine and most likely didn't have milk in them. After triple checking at my wife's insistence, our server came rushing to our table stating "don't eat the potatoes" . Not sure why it... More

Lovely place, good place to visit with a friend or with family. I wanted a salad and decided on the Ahi Tuna one. That is not a choice I would make regularly but wanted something light and different. Oh man was it good! A touch of citrus flavour on the salad and the tuna seared and seasoned to perfection made... More

My wife and I enjoyed a nice brunch here on a beautiful Sunday (3 Aug 2014). This place is on Court Street just a bit north of the intersection with Tennessee Avenue in beautiful downtown Florence. The menu is varied, interesting and creative. My jack o' lantern salad and lunch portion of shrimp and grits were very good. My wife... More

Had dinner at City Hardware. The entrée choices were original for a bar and not just your typical burger and fries. I had the Bacon wrapped meatloaf with Sriracha BBQ which was very good. The beer selection contained a lot of local craft breweries, and was a nice change of pace for a local establishment.

We sat at the bar upstairs because there was a 30 minute wait for a table. We will never make that mistake again, it's worth the wait. There were 4 of us and we ordered entrees. None of us received their complimentary bread and all of our meals were cold. The taste of the food was fantastic and it had... More

Wrapped up a great day trip to Florence with an excellent dinner at City Hardware. My wife's rib eye was tender and cooked just right. I tried the ribs which were very good. Moist with good smoke flavor. For desert, we split the chocolate chip cookie served with ice cream in a small frying pan. Decadent. Prices were reasonable for... More

Boyfriend and I visited for a late lunch last Saturday and experienced excellent service and really good food. Waiter (Trevor) was attentive and friendly, and kept our water glasses filled. We ordered the guacamole made table side with chips. The guacamole was good and the chips (homemade pita) were excellent but we thought it was overpriced at $11.50. That is... More
