Boyfriend and I visited for a late lunch last Saturday and experienced excellent service and really good food. Waiter (Trevor) was attentive and friendly, and kept our water glasses filled. We ordered the guacamole made table side with chips. The guacamole was good and the chips (homemade pita) were excellent but we thought it was overpriced at $11.50. That is... More

We guys go golfing every year and love Florence and Muscle Shoals. We tried City Hardware this year since it's new and it was awesome. The smoked meatloaf was definately the hit of the table. Make sure to as for Emily for your server-she's great!

City Hardware is a relative new restaurant in downtown Florence that My wife and I have visited on several occasions. The food is usually ok but it depends on what you order. This time I ordered the meatloaf dinner which I thought was pretty good but my wife ordered the chicken salad on flatbread which she had a,hard time eating.... More

This restaurant is a gem. They have a terrific menu and great service. Although not very old they are a unique experience. You have to try the bacon wrapped meatloaf. Generous, delicious portion is enough for many to take some home and enjoy again. Another member of my party had the catfish and declared it excellent as well. Booths are... More

the only reason i give three instead of four 'stars' is our waiter literally must have started his first waiting job the day we went...nuf said... otherwise speaking we thought the food was great and the atmosphere was warm and inviting and the staff very friendly and accommodating...

For lunch I had the chicken salad with walnuts on a bed of locally grown mixed greens and loved it. It comes with balsamic dressing and is a bit tart ( I like it) but you can always request another dressing. My husband had a flatbread sandwich that he really enjoyed too. We were not planning on dessert but went... More

I am typically not a big fan of meatloaf, probably got fed too much of it as a kid, but I really have to say the meatloaf at city hardware is outstanding. Three cuts of meat go into the meatloaf, which makes it very tasty and tender. The it is covered in sriracha dipped bacon, that is not too hot... More

Whether you're passing through Florence or have lived here for years, you have to try City Hardware. The locals rave about the fresh ingredients grown right here in the Shoals. Salads, burgers, and everything in between...everything is delicious! But make sure you leave room for dessert: Cast Iron Chocolate Chip Cookie. Also be sure to check out Ricatoni's next door... I have eaten here 3 times and it was good, not great. The pork chop is really good and you have to get the skillet cookie. Service was ok, but was slow all three times.

This is a wonderful bistro/pub in downtown Florence.Sitting on main street with a clever garage door balcony pen in good weather.Pleasant food with a good assortment of craft beers. But one goes there to eat creative pub food. Including the best poutine in Alabama...maybe the only but still rivaling true Quebec poutine. Perhaps it is because the oner/operator is Canadien....
