Sweet Magnolia closed suddenly within the past 2 weeks with a quick note in the local newspaper. Owners decided to shut down. Realty "for sale" signs went up the next day. Our area lost a great little upscale restaurant.

To our valued Patrons, We did not make the decision to Close THE SWEET MAGNOLIA CAFE. Montgomery would not renew our liquor license, which expired on 9/30/13. Closing was not OUR choice, and we are also saddened at it's closing. THANK YOU FOR 4 WONDERFUL YEARS! Ken & Doug More

This small cafe on the corner of a busy intersection is gracious service, outstanding food and entertainment by Ken. While space is limited, the combination of food, wine and candlelight make this a special stop for any occassion.

We had heard how great this place was so decided to try one of their brunches. I was a little worried about a long wait, so we got there ten minutes before they opened (11:00). We were the only ones there and they welcomed us in and seated us right away. It wasn't long after that the place was full... More

My son and I took my wife to Sweet Magnolia for Mother's Day brunch after church. We had reservations and walked right in to be seated. Reservations are definitely a necessity here as it is a very small and intimate setting and quite popular in the Shoals area. We have heard of many people driving for over an hour to... More
