The streets have all the trees dressed in white lights. The ambience is exciting and a bit noisier than I like, but the food is excellent. Each meal was prepared to perfection. I had the venison and it was extremely tender. The service was excellent.

I've been here twice now, once for a business dinner then back to treat the wife. Both times the meal was wonderful! Very educated and professional service. Loved the stuffed Quail and the Duck Breast with mushroom risotto! The flavors here are some of the best I've ever tasted! I was told the chef was awarded "Best Chef's of America"... More

We finally found a place in coastal Alabama that checked all the boxes for a great dinner. Tired of the greasy, run-of-the-mill places claiming to offer a great dining experience, we checked all the reviews and drove to Camellia in Fairhope ... the best dining decision we've made. While a little early for our reservation, we were warmly welcomed and... More

The October Thursday night we were at the Camellia Cafe, the place was packed. The clientele was mostly 30's and 40s, enjoying the lively atmosphere and great food. I had the duck spring rolls (pretty much a spring roll wrapper and duck meat - very tasty) and a terrific menu staple - Sauteed Flounder "Lobster Oscar." The oddly named dish... More

Michelin guides used to have three categories for restaurants -- this one fits snugly in the coveted second category ... You anywhere near? Make the effort. Book a spot, stay the night nearby!

This is wonderful restaurant. I dropped in as a single and decided to eat at the bar and I'm happy I did. The bartender, straight out of south Louisiana, is a kick...very attentive and knowledgable about the food. The fish is fresh, as you would expect, and creatively prepared, without being fussy. Certainly the best in the area.

For two weeks we've staid in Fairhope and tried a couple of restaurants but kept going here. Very friendly staff and great food. An absolute recommendation!

In Fairhope, Camellia Cafe is more of a dining occasion because so many places are very casual and small. Very charming room, nice menu selections, and the food was very good. Every disch that walked by looked enticing. The total experience was a delightful evening.

A local fisherman recommended this restaurant to us... and it was over the top amazing. For a small town... incredible menu...took us forever to settle on one thing! Great wine list! And well educated servers...they were eager to educate us about the origins of their offerings, as well as make great suggestions. There were 6 of us, each ordering something... More
