Had reservations on a Wednesday night and thank goodness, they had to turn people away at 6:30 pm! Not a large restaurant but love the clean look and the food was great. Few mix ups in kitchen with food coming out at different times and mixing up our table and one next to us but easy to overlook when they... More

I reviewed the menu before going to town and was not my first choice. We did not have a reservation and they sat us on a Saturday night at 8:00pm within 5 minutes. The envirnoment was great. loud and lively. Service was good. The food was a pleasant surprise. The food was fresh and the flavors were well comblined. Will... More

Anniversary date for us and it was so good. There is a "but" however...but is was so noisy and loud you could not have a very good conversation. Service was good, and the best part was the food! I had the grilled lamb chop and it was the best I've ever eaten. The tomato stack was delicious! Expensive but worth... More

We recently dined here for the second time in six months. Decor is stark and includes interesting art in a long, narrow dining room. Noise level was high. Aaron was our waiter at both meals and was knowledgable about the menu but somewhat detached. Husband started with a gin and tonic and I tried the Cafe's signature cocktail: too pink... More

We ate at the Camellia Cafe last Thursday evening. I had a Mahi Mahi seafood dish in a lemon sauce that was wonderful one of the best I've had. We each had a thoroughly delicious salad, and instead of an entree, my spouse chose two appetizers which she really enjoyed. The topper was a bread pudding with a cream and... More

Delectable fresh cuisine with fresh and sometimes organic and locally grown ingredients here. Camellia Café has a real chef, not just a cook. And you can tell the difference. The ambience is so nice and it is a romantic little hide away that is just perfect for a couple's night out!

Food was great. We sat at the bar because the place was full,.... usually a good sign. Had wonderful appetizers and great fun chatting with the bar staff. I will be back!

I dined with a large group of friends. The atmosphere is not formal, just sort of classy casual. The waitstaff is very knowledgeable about the menu and the food and offered good recommendations. While there weren't any "specials" for the evening, everything we tried on the menu was delicious, fresh and perfectly prepared. I ordered a house special cocktail and... More

I had dinner here recently and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The restaurant is fairly small and was packed, so reservations are recommended. I am vegetarian and there wasn't much on the menu for me, but the waitress offered the choice of a vegetable plate or vegetarian pasta. I got the pasta and it was very tasty. My dinner companions raved... More

We've been spending winters in lower AL for 11 years and have eaten lots of shrimp and grits. The shrimp and grits at the Camellia Cafe were the best yet. I'd order them again in a heartbeat! My husband was impressed with the top shelf liquors - had his first Johnny Walker Blue and enjoyed every sip. Service was very... More
