i love cookies , my norm is candy yams, rutabagas, dressing, & beans, i've seen worse as 4 as apperance but as 4 the staff they are very friendly. I would recommend people 2 eat here, just carry out though b/c of how small it is. The only thing they need 2 change is upgrading the place

I have learned from experience if you time this right, you are in for a treat! We showed up promptly at noon, and had a good line to stand behind. This place is small, cramped, funky, hot, wonderful, southern goodness. The offerings were the usual fried chicken, and baked chicken, beef tips and gravy/rice, rutabagas, turnips, mac n cheese, black... More

I should’ve known better when we pulled up to this place. We ordered and took our food home to eat. As soon as I ate three bites of her collard greens I got sick. I was crawling on the floor headed to the bathroom. I will never recommend this place. Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else to... More

After reading previous reviews, we again joined the parade. We arrived 15 minutes before closing which I think caused the problems, but timing should never be an issue. The food should be as fresh for the first customer as the last. We entered and stood facing a small steam line and a cashier. A few awkward seconds unti they realized... More

I love to go on Tuesdays for chicken & dumplings. You can get them as a side, like I do, or a main with lots of chicken. My favorites are the fried chicken, greens, potato salad, mac & cheese, dressing, yams, rice & gravy. It's all good, inexpensive and mighty tasty.

I have been visiting Cookie's Cafe for years and I tell you the quality just keeps going up. The taste remains loyal to what I am looking for when I get my special craving for Candied Yams and Rice with a LITTLE BIT OF THE "YAM JUICE" ON TOP OF MY RICE LIKE GRAVY. Cookie I hope you are around... More
