Local Cuisine & Great Oysters

This restaurant was friendly with fantastic food at a fair price. They feature oysters and two guys were shucking them in the back section the entire time we were there. I also had the scallops which were very large and sweet. Friendly bartender and servers.

Hunts is a family owned establishment with dependable service and the food is always good. They have good specials before 6pm. Overall just a good place for seafood.

Been here before and was expecting the same wonderful experience. We were sadly mistaken. The oysters were very small and dripping with oil. The salad bar server restocked the bar and picked trash off the floor without changing gloves. The place appeared to operate without order . . . Servers running and yelling. Wasn't a pleasant experience this time.

In teh 1980's always got good food here. Last time i was here, I got crab claws that were way over done. Almost like they'd been fried, refrigerated over night, and fried again the next day when I ordered them. I can't bring myself to go back. Sorry.

went for lunch based on reviews on trip advisor. Service was excellent from start to finish. Ordered oysters on the half shell which were very small for the $11. Had fresh (grilled) fish and broccoli which both were very salty. I think the fried fares may be their specialty.

I love their crab claws and we get our bag oysters from them frequently! It's the best seafood in Dothan and on the weekends be prepared for a wait...but well worth it!

Seems like the prices have gone up and menu choices have gone down. No more whole rack of ribs, no Prime rib night for two months now.

The Ribeye steaks are phenomenal. The crab claws are also very good. Be sure to ask for cheese rolls! They have the best ranch dressing in Dothan.
