Being a shrimper, fisherman, and local it is so disappointing that most restaurants in my area serve stale, frozen, sometimes spoiled seafood that was farm raised in some foreign country. On my last trip to Dauphin Island, Barnacle Bills fixed that problem with some trigger fish as good as it gets. The big gulf fried shrimp also..simply as good as... More

The place is pretty old and plastic chairs blah blah, but still I had the best burger from there. We had the craw fish bread and crab cakes. I cannot recommend the crab cakes but the bread was good. The reviewer who said the cakes are like fried stuffing from thanksgiving is spot on with that. But they were not... More

Prices are fair, most of their food is fried, portions are generous. Casual place. Very busy a dinner time, good place to bring kids.

Food was average. Got the crab cakes and it just tasted like Thanksgiving stuffing deepfried. Not sure if it even contained crab. Only got 3 small (half the size of my palm) cakes for $15. Daughter got kids hamburger and fries which was HUGE. Sweet potato fries were excellent, very crispy. The restaurant itself is very old and run down.... More

The place is dirty and the only reason we stayed is because of the reviews on here and we were starved after traveling all day. We ordered deep fried shrimp not only because we liKe them but because with having them deep fried hopefully it would lessen the chance of illness from them. The shrimp that we were able to... More

We took a chance on this restaurant, even though it looked a little run down. What a pleasant surprise! Two of us had the grouper basket with sweet potato fries. The grouper was fresh and delicious as well as the fries. One of us had a BLT that was loaded with fabulous bacon. Our waitress, Michelle, was great! We'll surely... More

Excellent food but terrible service, it's on the shirt and it's the truth. We arrived during dinner rush and almost walked out as it took a while to get even an initial greeting. Glad we stayed as the food is excellent! Hope service would be better if not as busy?!

My family decided to try Barnacle Bill's tonight after reading mixed reviews on the internet. I'm so glad we did! We had a party of 11 and only waited about 5 minutes for a table. The service was wonderful, and the food was exceptional. Try their scampi. It was delicious.

We ate our last dinner meal at Barnacle Bills. Had the best fried shrimp ever in quite a while. Granddaughter had the catfish and corn on the cob. Key Lime Pie was to die for. Service was great and prices a little steep but they have stay in business with low traffic compared to Gulf Shores. Loved loved this island....first... More
