We ate our last dinner meal at Barnacle Bills. Had the best fried shrimp ever in quite a while. Granddaughter had the catfish and corn on the cob. Key Lime Pie was to die for. Service was great and prices a little steep but they have stay in business with low traffic compared to Gulf Shores. Loved loved this island....first... More

Very overpriced. Food was good but I have had much better. Had to wait for a table. They got two of our orders wrong.

We read many reviews about Barnacles Bill's and was even told by our rental person that their service was terrible. Not so! We got there right at 6:00pm and were promptly greeted and seated. Our waitress was great! The Beer was cold and Margarita's were just right. The Broiled Seafood Platter was much smaller than expected and lacked seasoning. My... More

First, there aren't chain restaurants on the island. Everything is local and you shouldn't go expecting a five star experience. We have been eating here for years. We have always enjoyed it and the service good. A word of advice would be to stay away from the fried fare. Give the broiled fish a try first. And if you are... More

I see a whole lot of bad reviews, but from my experiences here I'd never go anywhere else. This place isn't a fancy place which I think might contribute to a lot of the negatives. It's basically a set down dairy bar with GREAT food. Servers have always been great, funny shirts too. Get the burger and onion rings, you... More

We arrived today and were very excited to eat at Barnicle Bills because of the reviews we had read. So very disappointing. The hush puppies were doughy balls with no flavor. The crab cakes, well we weren't sure if they contained crab. The fried fish basket was great...

We were there Saturday, July 5,a busy day for the Island. We were there at 1:30 in the middle of the lunch rush. We were promptly greeted by the manager and seated. He explained that a server didn't show up for shift, so there might be some delay getting our order in. Our server (Michelle, I think) got our drinks... More

There seemed to be no method to the madness of being seated but my party didn't have to wait an unreasonable amount of time for a table. Everything I tasted I liked except for the rice pilaf...I didn't know it had mushrooms. From our table I tried the stuffed lane snapper, snow crab claws, and fried catfish. It was all... More

Pleasant staff, mostly young locals. Long wait and food not served all at one time. Mediocre quality. Cold beer. Poor view of the marina.

Three of us had dinner there one night of our vacation. We heard the service was bad but the food was good. I had the house special, grouper alfredo, and it was pretty good. It was a large portion. My wife and son split an order of snow crab legs and a cup of gumbo soup. They liked them both.... More
