I had the shrimp basket with yukon chips...the yukon chips came with jalapeno ranch dressing...absolutely addictive, and a couple of Truckstop draft beers which were excellent. The wife had a salad with grilled chicken and a specialty drink, Something? Smash, which she greatly enjoyed. The best part of the meal was the bread pudding we shared for dessert...greatest dessert ever!!!

After 5 days on Daughin Island, my husband and I had visited several restaurants and saved Islanders to go to for lunch on our last full day. We were staying in a condo at The Inn which has fully equipped kitchens so we would pick lunch or dinner for our big meal out of the day and eat our other... More

Very disappointed in the poor menu selection, deep fried food, and hefty prices. The wait staff was friendly and helpful, but the food was bland. Our seafood platter appetizer was all deep fried. I ordered fresh fish and was disappointed that the garnish tasted more flavorful than the fish.

Great casual dining on the deck overlooking the bay. Reasonable prices, fresh seafood with fun birds wanting so nibbles! Fast service

Here's the deal, if you want fancy, upscale dining..this is the best you will find. If you are happy with a laid back, island feel there are plenty of eateries with excellent food. The Islander had more seating, inside and out. The tablecloths were white thick plastic, but real silverware and white cloth napkins were on the tables. It is... More

Great place to eat! Did not have a reservation on Valentine's day, but was able to sit at the bar and eat. Tim was a wonderful waiter/bartender and the owner was friendly and helpful on our short fact finding trip! Will definitely eat here again.

Went to go dinner on a Friday evening at 6:00. Ordered drinks, were told there was fresh grouper as catch of the day. Minutes later we were informed not only was there no grouper, they had no fresh fish at all. They might have some snapper, we'd have to wait a few minutes to see if that would be the... More

Islanders is a small restaurant with big service and food. The fried shrimp was to die for, my husband had the seafood gumbo and said it was really good too. The service was excellent and Grace was a great server. We had lunch there and would return again and again. a bit pricy but well worth it.

Islander's is a great addition. Finally there's a place to get a decent meal on the island. Because of the crowds during busy season, service and food can be a tad slow, but not unduly. Both are much improved since the beginning of 2013. Attire and atmosphere are very, very casual, so you can roll in after a day on... More

Great beer and food. Waitress was great and menu offered quite a wide assortment for the low period of the year....will plan to go back if in the area
