There's not a ton of variety in Recife, but Burgogui is the exception. The food was great, and they even sold us a cup of kimchee that we needed for a recipe at home! We had the "Burgogui" Korean BBQ, dumplings, and our friend ordered vegetarian. Everyone loved it, even our baby! Also seemed like a local hangout for hipsters.

I've been here so many times, I've lost count. But every time you see the same waiter, the same people in the kitchen. I feel a certain comfort in that. I'm guessing this is a bit of a hidden gem. Authentic, delicious and great environment. Great for sharing. Owners are very friendly and nice, service is good but on crowded days it gets a little slow. I recommend for families, groups of friends or even couples... But the portions are too big for one person. It's definitely made for sharing.
