Awesome food! And also very expensive!

We ordered a lobster with cheese and it was fantastic. It is a fancy restaurant, not a beach place a where you can go wearing flip flop. The attendees are very polite and attentive, ready to answer a request. The price is high. We paid around R$150 for the lobster, but the quantity was not... read more

Let me start by acknowledging that I know that in general in Brazil the food is terrible. Also that most restaurants serve plates for 20 or more people to share. Thus saying, I went to what I read is the best fish restaurant in Recife and was offered a choice of 2 dishes: baked fish fillets, or pasta with mussels.... More

We were a lot of people, the restaurant was really crowded but the service was not that bad, even though all of that was happening. The food was great and one entree served 3 people really well. I would definetely go back there for the acarajés.

I have visited this restaurant some years ago and had a very good time .This time it wasn't so good. The food was just ok. And so was the service . And the price was over!

This is a great restaurant but had a hard time finding it because it moved a while ago and the information in travel books isn't up to date. The food was wonderful, the service was excellent.

Was in this restaurant for a business dinner and loved the ambience. I had a wonderful caipirinha with exotic fruits that were presented to us on a nice plate. I had the octopus as starter and it was amazing. The "muqueca de camarao" was tasty but not at the level of the octopus. A little expensive but nice in the... More

We waited 30 mins before being able to place our order, and it was another hour before the food arrived. Most main dishes were over 100 reais, which equates to $50! Food was only ok, not great! Very poor value overall

We ate here to celebrate my birthday during the World Cup. It came highly recommended. After we were seated it took 15+ minutes for a server to come over. My wife actually had to go ask to have somebody come over. The service got a little better after that. Prices are extremely high. I had the grilled seafood platter. It... More

Don't get me wrong, the food is pretty good. But it's not amazing compared to several other restaurants in the region - but the prices are way higher. On top of that, the dishes serve two, they don't make half a serving. Are you alone as I was ? Sorry, they don't really care.

I ate at Bargaco with a friend, who had was leaving after two years in Recife. We were both looking forward to a bit of spice, a rarity in the North-East (short of heating it up yourself with some pimenta). Cannot fault the service and attention, but the food really didn't excite me. We had a soft shelled crab dish... More
