I had the Shrimp Termidor during a business trip. The shrimp were so big and juicy. It was probably the best shrimp that I've ever had during my travels in Brazil. However, this was one of the most expensive restaurants that I have ever been to in Brazil. My entree cost 117 BRL. I ordered an appetizer which consisted of... More

Comfortable place, terrible service on busy days (holiday + Saturday luchs) but nice Brazilian food. Recomend sea roasting fisch. Note that plates are for at least 2 persons if very hungry! Caipirinhas are good but very strong.

Try the 'seafood soup' for two. Nobody speaks or tries to speak English.... so bring your Portuguese translator. Expensive but worth it. A little tricky to get here as it is on a one way road.

First dining experience in Recife for these gringos, taken there by long-time Recife residents. Simple, clean and pleasant environment, quiet. Extremely attentive service without being cloying, and very fast food delivery (which in our experience is unusual in Brazil). Best part of the experience was the food - wonderful fish soup as a small appetizer (like a crab gumbo?) and... More

This was my second experience at Bargaco. The grill fish was wonderfull and wonderfully done. The caipirinha was perfect. Service splendid. The location is a little bad: you cannot walk to the place and the taxi back to the beached (Boa Viagem, Piedade etc) is a long trip (you need to cross a long bridge to be able to come... More

This place was close to my hotel and had great reviews so off I went. Great service from the first minute to the last, I felt the menu was reasonably priced. Not cheap but reasonable. It was good to have bahian food after a few days of the local fare. It was still fairly similar and all excellent.

O serviço é ótimo, garçons atenciosos e bem atentos.By far the best restaurant in Recife, don't miss it. The service is excellent and the food is delicious with regional dishes. They have an english menu.

Very good place to try brazilian seafood like Casquinha de Siri (Crab) and Moqueca. The service is only ok, there's plenty of staf but the service was a slow. Great food and drinks, try caipirinha de caju instead of the traditional lemon.
