The restaurant is located inside a charming old house on a cobblestone street. The dishes are carefully prepared and the drinks are the best option to cool off. You must try the "cajá-manga" caipiroska, a typical northeastern fruit mixed with vodka. I wouldn't recommend a specific dish because all of them are great but definitely would choose a seafood dish.... More

We went there for lunch on a recommendation of our hotel. Place was very busy, the food was excellent. Most dishes are for two people and we had a fish stew with spinach and it was great. Rice on the side(they now how to cook rice in Brazil), put the broth over the rice and you have got yourself one... More

When foodies who are experts in Brazilian cuisine recommend dining at a flavor workshop it is time for amateurs like ourselves to pay attention. This restaurant, Oficina do Sabor, was located in the nearby Recife suburb called Olinda and was easily reached by cab. Our main entree was a delicious baked pumpkin/squash filled with lightly seasoned shrimp and lobster in... More

We were there on a holiday and the restaurant was very busy, but we were seated fairly quickly. The menu is almost all seafood dishes, and about half of the seafood dishes were some form of shrimp. The menu lists many "especialidades", each of which was cooked in a jerimum, which they translate as "pumpkin", although it's more like an... More

This is, for sure, one of the best restaurants in Olinda. The price is not the most expensive in town (a dish for two will cost around U$45 - U$50), but the food is awsome!!! They use fresh and typical ingredients, giving an unique flavor! Pumpkin and shrimp are present in a lot of dishes and they really match!! The... More

Great food and very unique. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food also. The location is great, but if you want the patio and view, make a reservation. The house specialty is a baked pumpkin/acorn squash that is stuffed with many varieties of things. We had one stuffed with lobster, shrimp in a passion fruit cream sauce... More

I have not dined in every Restaurant in Olinda but this one is certainly First Class. Five of us shared two seafood Meals for two which was more than ample. The quality of food and service were exempelary. All in all an excellent venue with far reaching views.

This place came highly recommended by some local expats. And it was excellent! We had two versions of their signature dishes which are cooked in hollowed pumpkins. Delicious! Also the view to Recife in the night is fabulous. Try to get a seat on the balcony from which to enjoy the view.
