Round Tables to eat on , Round stools to sit on. Paint peeling of the walls.Small windows with bars. And in a building which is over a hundred year old. Tung Nam is an authentic Chinese Eating House. In other words, Kolkata's only Chinese Dhaba. The atmosphere is surreal as the food is mind blowing. Wanton Soup, chilli garlic fish... More

Technically Tung is east and Naam is south- tung naam means south-east chinese or popularly known as cantonese cuisine. Probably the only authentic cantonese restaurant in Kolkata. Its located just beyond the blue colored KIT building, near poddar court. If you step in this joint, you may find it as not a restaurant, but somebody's house. The food is prepared... More

As other reviewers of this restaurant has already pointed out , the food here is cheap and delicious. You can reach here from Central Metro Station or Lalbazar Police Head Quarters. It is a walking distance from both. My suggestion would be to taste Pork in Hamchoi Sauce but tell them to make it less chilli.

Very good, in taste, in price and in authenticity. But dont expect anything fancy in décor n ambience. They serve real Chinese food. Period. If you want that then go. By all means go.

We read reviews of this restaurant in Trip Advisor, and went all the way from my brother's place in South Kolkata to this place, which is located at some distance fro the Central Metro station...we finally located it after a 20-minute walk. We ordered the usual fare -- noodles, rice and a couple of chicken dishes. The service was prompt,... More

If you want authentic Cantonese food, this is one of the few options in Kolkata. You must try the fung mee mein, the pork hamchoy rice, the pork in hamei sauces and of course the roast pork. Don't expect white table cloth etc. It's a very basic kind of place, but it serves some amazing food and has almost lightning... More
