Superb place - really interesting combinations of traditional Bengali dishes and ingredients with a western twist Tried practically every appetiser on the menu! Two small niggles were that we were a group of 8 and sat at a table which is designed for 6 so were squashed however upon finishing starters and pointing this out the staff were pleased to... More

It was after a long hung-over Saturday night, we wanted to eat something spicy. And some dear comrade had stumbled upon this name "Bohemian" in some book. We decided to give it a try. Located in a quiet place, the exteriors looked funky on two sides and sober from the front. The walkway into the restaurant was amazing, like a... More

When you visit a restaurant you kind of have an idea beforehand how the food may taste based on your past experiences but not anymore when you step into Bohemian. Experimental and fusion food is not new, but Bohemian takes it to an altogether new height by blending seemingly non-related ingredients into novel delights. Never ever in your wildest dreams... The dishes we ordered were simply strange. Food tasted like a kid experimenting in the kitchen. We do not plan to visit again. Space is too small and cramped.

Gastronomical entrepreneurship is the word that comes to my mind when we tried Bohemian for the first time and every time we went back for trying out the newest dishes. Everytime we visited, it was altogether a new experience. Surprises came each time we visited. One should try out each one of their dishes once and should go back for... More

Restaurants run by chefs are special and Bohemian is no different. It is a truly special place and deserves all the credit that it gets. The bengali food is extremely innovative and does away with some of the pitfalls of bengali cooking-excessive oil or use of mustard. The food is extremely light and uses ingredients etc in an innovative manner.... More

The 4 of us friends, all girls team descended upon the staff of Bohemian ! I am sure they were wondering what we were all up to giggling away and obviously enjoying the food. The gondhoraj julep was as usual refreshing while the crab baked Kolmi saag was superb as a starter. The pork vindaloo, the fish with orange sauce... More

Bohemian is a nice add to the Kolkata gastronomic circuit. The place is small, the decor is simple, interesting but a bit hotch potch. We went for lunch and the place was half occupied. The tables are basic and the place has a European cafeteria feel though smaller in size. We ordered mains directly and started with sorbets which were... More
