Awesome food; service accepts faults and rectifies

Saraswati Pujo is Bengali's very own Valentine's day and can't be a better reason to treat my loved ones and family at Oh! Calcutta. Reservation is must here due to its popularity. We had gone for lunch. It is a "well known" restaurant but was extremely disappointed with quality of food. Service was nice and so is the ambience. The prices are high considering the pretty average quality of food.

Hi, Recently I had taken few friends to Oh Calcutta Silver Spring for dinner. Choice of wine was good but food was average. Having Kolkata taste buds left me wanting for the authentic taste of Bengali cuisine. Maybe a foreigner would love their food since their own cuisine lacks taste and excitement. After more or less tasting few menu offers... More

It really was an amazing experience. We were a group of 12 for lunch. For starters there was Mochar chop, Koraishutir chop & Chingrir cutlet. They were all really good. Shukto & Shorshey Ilish was yum. Bhapa sandesh & Nolen Gurer Ice cream was the perfect dessert to end the wonderful meal with. Mr Anthony was our guide in this... More

Oh Calcutta reminds you of the old Calcutta. The decor takes you back fifty years to the old traditional Bengali aristrocratic household. The round wooden tables, the wooden bookshelves and the beautiful black and white photographs of the Kolkata of yesteryears are nostalgic. If you want to try authentic Bengali cuisine, this is the place. Dig into the awesome daab... More

We went out for dinner with my 2 office colleagues after a tough and tiring day at office. The staff was very courteous. The food was delicious though on the expensive side than the value derived. If visiting this place try for the Dhab Chingri. which is a signature item

Food: 5/5. Very succulent, juicy and perfectly cooked fish, prawns and lamb ribs. Ambience: 3.5 /5. not very rustic but chic. Spacious and kid friendly. Service: 4.5/5. Very warm and caring. Made good recommendations. Overall enjoyed and had a good evening with family.

Every birthday I elect a diner and we have our lunch/dinner in that precise restaurant. This time I cherry-picked Mainland China but later transformed it to Oh! Calcutta for some unidentified reasons. Now both Mainland China and Oh! Calcutta are possessed by Speciality Group of Restaurants of Chef Anjan Chatterjee. By the title Calcutta, you'll know that this place bids... More
