Average restaurant of high popularity

This is quite a small place but located in a strategicpoint where all foreign guest houses line up in Sudder Street. Not owned by any foreigner or even a special one just another business man from adjacent state. But the juice the make has takers. Also other styled food which the foreigner will... read more

Good for simple breakfasts and lunch . You can get low cost snack meals here that are not bad value for the money. Its definitely no frills , but its a great meeting place , a lot of volunteers for Mother T's hang out here exchanging stories. I always order another pizza , get them to slice it and give... More

Our stay in Calcutta has been great after discovering this little restaurant. It's overcrowded with tourists but the food is originally indian/Bengali but they do have a wide menu with continental, Chinese and Thai choices. Every dish we tasted was tasty and prices were just right!

three nice waiters, and a crowd of expats, western ngo workers and backpackers passing through, always busy and vibrant. we had meals there twice and had some great meals and others that missed the mark. could be taste. friends enjoyed sudder street and avoiding park street establishments. reasonable prices, and good portion sizes. worth a visit. enjoy

We ate here a few times, very convenient, diagonally opposite the Fairlawn Hotel: In-budget dining and a full menu offers a choice of either Indian or Western dishes, although we stuck to local fare (when in India and all that....): And our food, a variety of curries and breads, was always presented with a huge smile from the owner and... If in Calcutta, this is the best place to eat! We stayed for a few days as a family of 7. The staff were all very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We tried a range of curries and naan, pancakes and lassi drinks (like a smoothie). Try the mango lassi and the garlic naan. After trying the naan... More

I've been here over a dozen times between my two visits to Kolkata. Since the last visit they've updated their menu to include top-notch Italian cuisine, including some of the best penne al pollo I've had anywhere. Prices are slightly higher than other restaurants on Sudder Street and there is no alcohol offered here, but those were not deal-breakers for... More
