Description: 6 Ballygunge Place is the flagship restaurant of Savourites Hospitality...
6 Ballygunge Place is the flagship restaurant of Savourites Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. Till 2003, Kolkata did not have any specialty eatery worth the depth of Bengali cuisine. Savourites came with a unique blockbuster named after the address "6 Ballygunge Place". A specialty eatery serving Bengali cuisine was commissioned after thorough research into cookbooks of the Tagore Era. As they say 'the rest is history'. Today 6 Ballygunge Place is housed in an exclusive Rai Bahadur Bunglow, 100 years old and retained the Old World Charm in architecture and minimalist decor. Visit the place and savor the authentic Bengali Cuisine at its best.

Lip-smacking tasty food

We went there for lunch on a pleasant Feb afternoon. Although they had a nice buffet laid out, we opted for trying out some different fish and rice. The preparation were heavenly specially Tel-Koi. Definitely recommended.

If any one wishes to have a taste of typical Bengali food, as many residents of Kolkata eat at home then visit this Restaurant, it has TWO branches in Kolkata, one in Ballygunge & another in Salt Lake near the main City Centre. We eat few times in their Salt Lake branch with local friends & relatives. Ambience is OK.... More

This was my second visit to the restaurant situated in a rather unassuming street corner in Ballygunge, Kolkata. It appears that a house has been converted into a restaurant. While the ambience inside may be rather simple, the food isn't. I had 'Ellish Bhapa' in mustard sauce preparation with plain rice! The food is very tasty and is for those... More

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel. It is some distance from the centre of Calcutta, in Salt Lake area. It has very nice decor, very clean and modern. It had many local people eating there, always a good sign, in fact we were the only Westerners there. The food was excellent and imaginative. Service was very good. We eat... More

A nice and charming place to visit with family and friends. Authentic Bengali food and cooked in typically Bengali style. The food was inexpensive considering the number of dishes we had ordered. The service was fast and the staff helpful. I will surely visit this place again.

This restaurant offers inexpensive, high quality Bengali cuisine. Try the non-veg Thali at only ₹750!

This place is delight for both vegetarian and non vegetarian foodies in search of Bengali food! The buffet is a great value for money.. The fish, mutton and chicken were cooked in authentic Bengali style. The desserts were delightful too! Loved the feel of the place.. the service was warm and very helpful.. Went there with a bunch of friends and didn't find it that appealing. The interiors are pretty average and dont give a premium feel (Although the food is very expensive). The local taste of Bengal food is something which people come here for, but frankly i've had similar food in Quepies also. For me, a pretty average restaurant with less... More

Had the chance to taste the food of 6 Ballygunge Place, as they were the caterer at one of the weddings. The food was good, but the mutton was a bit undercooked. Had to struggle to tear it. Nonetheless, the food was tasty.
