Description: 6 Ballygunge Place is the flagship restaurant of Savourites Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. Till 2003, Kolkata did not have any specialty eatery worth the depth of Bengali cuisine. Savourites came with a unique blockbuster named after the address "6 Ballygunge Place". A specialty eatery serving Bengali cuisine was commissioned after thorough research into cookbooks of the Tagore Era. As they say 'the rest is history'. Today 6 Ballygunge Place is housed in an exclusive Rai Bahadur Bunglow, 100 years old and retained the Old World Charm in architecture and minimalist decor. Visit the place and savor the authentic Bengali Cuisine at its best.

Great Bengali and continental cuisines! Also has grown in the last many years since I visited! A bit classy but worth the price.

Visited on a Friday lunchtime on a festival day with 8 other colleagues. The restaurant is close to the mall (5 minutes walk). We were seated upstairs in what was a busy and full restaurant, but we never felt crowded or the service impacted by the full house. We elected to have the extensive buffet, which included some excellent preparations.... More

Its a good and renowned restaurant, serves authentic bengali food. Definitely taste wise good but could have been much better as some of its contemporaries are really better already. Price wise ok. Ambiance also not bad. Service not so prompt but that's negligible. Overall they are far ahead from GOOD but not VERY GOOD.

Worth eating here the Fish preparation. I had lunch with my Friend and we had Bhetki Paturi and one fry fish item and both were awesome. The place is good and neat. The price is slight expensive. They even serve Thali duing lunch. Try the Thali as well But DO NOT miss Bhetki Paturi if never tried before.

I had visited their branch in Bangalore but got a chance to visit this outlet for the first time. Their chain of restaurants started from this one. The ambiance was good and the interiors looked antique Kolkata building. The food was really good... not too spicy but tasty.... Try the Daab Chingri.... its their speciality. Cheers

We were planning for a team lunch and the food should be good with abundance. The preferred cuisine was Bengali. We all agreed that for an affordable Bengali cuisine with great food quality in abundance the best place to plan is 6 Ballygunge Place Buffet. The restaurant we chosen was the Salt Lake branch near us. This is our third... More

Celebrated our marriage anniversary at the Salt Lake branch this year. A nice selection of mocktails named after roads of Kolkata greeted us. The starters are undoubtedly one of the best in the city - the gondhoraj chicken and specially prepared prawns being simply awesome. We were lucky to be there when the 'pithe' festival was going on and the... More

We went for the buffet. A nice mix of vegetarian and non vegetarian. Tasty food, old world charm, good service. Even if you do not know the names of any of the dish, just follow your palate. You cannot go wrong. And yes the dishes are sinful
