Disappointing!

After a hectic day of sightseeing, I was looking forward to experiencing tea and scones at Flurys, since it is written up to be 'old world', 'traditional', and a Calcutta institution. It was our first time in the city of joy. A bunch of friends insisted that we go to Flurys for a brunch. We reached this place at 10 am and it was already brimming with clientele ! Flurys with its high ceilings and mouth watering desert display had certainly then piqued my curiosity. While waiting for our turn, we... More

Yes a best breakfast place and lunch and dinner too. But basically the finest bakery of the city. A bit small but classy. Should go there.

Flurrys has been around forever. The best time to go is for a Sunday Brunch. The experience will remind you of English breakfast with tea and cake. The sandwiches are excellent and so is the quiche. Try the Darjeeling tea to end it. On the way out step in to their bakery section and pick up a few rum balls... More

If you wanna enjoy the evening snack with a class then you should be just here.... The place is amazing!!! As soon as you enter you get the aroma of a fresh bake. The place is easy to find only that if you are new in town and travelling by cab, remember the park street road is a one way...... More

Having breakfast at FLURY's is practically a tradition. Traditionally this used to be a tea house with cakes, pastries and other confections served along with a full service bakery. In its refurbished and modernised avatar it still retains much of its charm. Try the bakes and the patties. Rates are high street. An experience for those visiting Kolkata.

Flurys has been a landmark in Calcutta for many years. It is Bakery and a restaurant combined with old world charm. A place of high ceilings, liveried waiters, selected menu...a place to slow down and savour. There is usually a long line waiting on weekend mornings for breakfast!

Flurys is pretty old place in Calcutta to hang out. Starting from brakfast to cakes, all are awesome. One should try for rich plum cake. Sitting in the restaurent, one can feel from the British era to Y-gen.
