A good little find

I'm certainly no expert on Tibetan food, but to the uneducated Western palette, I thought this was a great little spot :-) Basic and cosy setup, good tasting food, and efficient service!

We have tried different thukpa from couple of places but this restaurant makes the best one around the area.

Best place in Darjeeling for Tibetan goods. Great hospitality too. Try the Chicken Wangtong Soup, the best dish. Stay away from curry rice if you are not used to rice in Darjeeling. It is superbly cooked eithrrway.

If you are momo lover then try their chicken momos and thukpa also. Both of the items are excellent. They also provide parcel.

Please pay a visit here. We ordered the lemon tea with honey, fried pork momos, gyathuks. Very pocket friendly and tasty junction to hangout with family or large groups of friends.

It is a small , but clean place. Seems family run. the steamed momos and the soup noodles thenthuk and Thupka were really good. We reached there a little late for lunch around 3, so the crowd was less and we could eat peacefully. It was the best local food we had in Darjeeling, Pelling, and Gangtok. The fried momos... More

This is nice place to have a taste for Tibetan food especially Momos. The Momos and fried rice were delicious and yummy. This staff was good and courteous. The only drawback is that it is very small and you may have to wait if it is full.

The Kunga restaurant was recommended to us by the Tibetan Home manager where we were staying. It was a fabulous dining experience and we made it our local breakfast and lunch place to eat. The momos were delicious, steaming hot and plentiful. They even made us take away boxes up of fried momos for the train trip to Kolkata. We... More
