small place, a tad cramped, but offers great value for money and tasty momos. It is right next to the mall and is run by a family, always have a queue of people waiting to be accomodated! Food is good but not delightful and extraordinary, may visit while on way to the mall
Had visited Kunga Restaurant after going through the reviews in TripAdvisor. Since the same had been ranking in number 2 in the list of popular and highly recommended restaurants of Darjeeling - our expectations were high. Unfortunately, our experience did not match to our expectations. Since the taste of food found was bland - I understand the said Restaurant is...

Have been to Darjeeling several times and this is a fantastic new discovery! A very small and intimate restaurant with some of the best food! The Vegie Thenthuk is amazing and all food is reasonably priced. Didn't have time to eat our momo's in the restaurant so they were packed into a takeaway container and we ate them in Ghoom...

Had dinner here as it was recommended by our hotel. Awesome momo's and hot & sour soup! Definitely recommended, good value as well.
This place is great - high quality, well priced food in a nice little 20-odd seater restaurant. Ate here numerous times during two visits to Darjeeling in April 2013. Tried a reasonably wide variety of dishes but kept coming back to the very hearty veg. thenthuk (85rs) and veg. momos (100rs plate). I am a big eater and found that...

We went there for breakfast= uninteresting, and lunch very nice food, packed with tourists. Service is slow when room is full but nice.
Food is okay but do not have the punch of a typical tibetian food. The taste is very mild and subdued. Momos were very dry and lack the flavour and were not juicy at all. However the people are very friendly.
This small restaurant has got some of the finest Indian north-eastern and Tibetan dishes. Their Thupka is heavenly especially on a chilly day. Soups and dimsums are equally good. Good value for money. A must visit one in Darjeeling!! Cheers :)
Try to visit this restaurant/cafe. It's authentic, the food is good and the service very friendly. Locals frequent the place which is a sure sign of its quality.
