You'll eat here if you stay in Darjeeling. Its one of the two at the top of the hill. Love the tibetan food here and the warmth of the severs. Chairs are stiff and uncomfortable. Bathroom is through the tiny kitchen and its a squatter. Never mind, the ambiance is nice and the Dalai Lama's quote on the wall sets... More

The small eatery below the Dekeling Hotel is a gem for lip smacking Tibetan food. We had Honey Lemon Tea, Fried Chicken Momos, Thukpa, Mushroom & Chicken Fried Rice and Chilly Chicken.... This Tibetan restaurant is not a looker inside or out but the food we had was delicious. We ordered vegetable noodles, two sodas and their local dish of momos (steamed dumplings) between two people which came to approximately 350 Rupees. A great place to experience local food.

Kunga is a small friendly Tibetan restaurant. Every day we enjoyed a tasty and nutritious meal especially the hearty soups, chicken phing, fried rice and hot lemon drinks while the mist drifted past. One of the gems that made our long stay in Darjeeling in July and August a pleasure.

One of the must visit restaurants of Darjeeling. Absolutely scrumptious food. Breakfast, lunch or dinner this little joint is the pick of the town. Authentic Tibetan cuisine, friendly staff and reasonable prices.

Kunga is the best place for those who like to taste the local tibetian food. From momo to thupka everything is so delicious and very much pocket friendly.. we used to visit the restaurant at least once a day during our stay at darjeeling and every time the food was severed fresh and hot.
