A small eatery with a homely atmosphere. Placing your order by yourself by writing on paper, seems a good idea and doesn't requires reconfirmation. We went for lunch and ordered for Veg. Momos, Veg. Noodles and Chicken Shabhaly, all the orders were just done to perfection. We were also quite satisfied by their pricing. Overall a good experience.

This small restaurant is run by a Tibetan family. We first went there for dinner and two days later for lunch. Both times we enjoyed our meals. We loved their Cheese & Vegetable momo (the best!). We also tried their vegetable wanton soup, which was pretty nice. Very reasonably priced as well… Handmade noodles are delicious too! Warms you up... More

We went to Kunga for dinner after a long and cold day. Their noodle soup was very tasty and the momos were delicious. The place is very small, but quite welcoming. You'll find both local and tourist customers. I would love to have another meal at Kunga!

Tibetan cuisine is not world-class, but this restaurant took me by surprise. Food was tasty, filling and heart and body-warming on a cold Darjeeling night. Service was nice by a friendly Tibetan family. Restaurant scene is Darjeeling is nothing to write home about really, but this place stands out as the best.

We've had Tibetan food several times while in Darjeeling and selected this restaurant based on the Tripadvisor reviews. The location is convenient, but very small. Arrive around 7:30pm to get a table, as it gets busy beginning at 8pm. Two of us had a variety of the glass noodle soup (can't recall the Tibetan name) and another friend had the... More

A fellow guest in the Dekeling Hotel next door to this restaurant recommended the food here, and she was right! The deep fried beef momo's are heavenly and given that you are 7,500 ft closer to heaven here, it may not be surprising. The soups and noodle dishes tasted like REAL food served from the open kitchen. Portions are enormous.... More

The soups and mom's are great from this tiny place. I would have eaten here for every meal given the opportunity. Lovely friendly people and great homely atmosphere.
