Best Tibetan cuisines in town.

The best place to be with friends or family for lunch or dinner ..... And must try the mouth watering momos served with soup.

Kunga is a small cozy no frill restaurant just a minutes walk from Keventers. I tried their wanton soup (momos in soup with some veggies) and noodles on a rainy day. It was a hearty delicious meal. Make sure you reach early as they have very few seats and many hungry stomachs to fill.

This small Tibetan food joint is usually crowded. I had dumplings in soup (yum) and pork curry with rice (just as yum). You also might like their Tibetan tea with salt and butter in it.

I was so happy to see this one open on the 3rd day of our stay, as the previous 2 days they were closed. An excellent thenthuk soup I had, small place with good smiling people.

The Tibetan cuisine served at Kunga was mouth watering and delicious. Starting with the steamed momo and then the Mixed Thukpa was awesome. One should not miss the roast pork, which is tender and very tasty. A must visit destination for non-vegetarians visiting Darjeeling.

We visited this during our trip to Darjeeling in March 2015.This is located very close to famous Mall road and very popular with tourists for Chinese & Tibetian food. We tried chicken momo and chicken starters.Momo was little thick to my liking but filling was yummy. The price of the items were reasonable too. Worth a visit.

I tried to have food at this very popular joint, I went there on 4 different occasions/time and though I could see that there were seats available but was turned away every time with an excuse that its full or closed (I saw foreigners being offered seats). So my bad luck that I could not get entry to taste the... More

Momo is very good, Honey lemon tea is superb. Another favorite of mine here is the Chicken Wanton Soup which is similar to chicken momo soup that also has shredded carrots and other vegetables and herbs.
